Rain-X washer fluid, Any good?

I hear it has some polymers or Teflon ingredients that can gum up the works of your windshield washer system.
Any experience or thoughts on this product?

No vote..

But WINTER you'll want that Purple Stuff..

Even if ya gotta combine it on a fuel card purchase..

Now back at the Terminal they be like we got Winshield Fluid..

But they buy that CHEAP CRAP in 50 gallon barrells..

When it hits FREEZING don't do the job..

Fuel up and Purple Winters

In winter, all its gotta do is remain in liquid state. All you're doing is rinsing off dirty salt spray that dries on the glass. Water would be good enough to do that if it didn't freeze. There ain't no bugs in the winter.

The cheap blue stuff is good down to -20°F, some of it to -40°F.

Purple don't Freeze..

Blue Stuff does it's Summer Blend..

What always "perplexed" me is they about the SAME PRICE per Jug..

Yet one FREEZERS

I have a 300 gallon washer fluid tank in the shop. During the summer I put the garden hose in the tank and water it down. I make sure to run it low before winter so it's full strength.

Its blue and it doesn't freeze in northern MN.

To each there own..

I know the Purple tried tested and true..

Way back in a thread think @GAnthony explained how way back in the day they wrapped the bug juice cord along the radiator in old cabovers

How many people are using that?. I buy a 6 gallon case for the wife and my pick up as well as the semi. And it will last us the entire year

yes, back in the day of the lousy cheap stuff that would still freeze, many of us wrapped a washer hose around the upper radiator hose, which kept the fluid warm, but not hot.

worked quite well.

We use so little of it, even in June and JulyI will still put the -30 rated washer fluid in because it’s likely to still be there in December or January
