The Government does whatever the hell it wants.

Some of the more senior drivers where I work are bragging that "Just let the government put me outta work with the new CSA 2010 rules about my weight, or blood pressure or bad driving record, I'll sue the shit out of 'em!"

Yeah, right.

It will be way easier to diet, eat right, exercise and drive legally than it will be to win a legal battle with Uncle Sam.

Very few people ever sue the Federal Government and win.

sounds like some of the drivers i know. always talkin bout sueing someone. whos fault is it they are 100 pounds overweight? it would be easier to quit eatin pizza and guzzling beer than to sue the government.

And this morning I was in line behind yet another morbidly obese driver who worked up a heavy sweat just walking into the fuel desk, and he waddled out with a gallon sized pop and a big bag of deep fried junk from the hot deli case.


Guys like this will never learn, but a heart attack is going to end their driving carrer, and probably their life.

Sure glad i'm not overweight.I'm 5"9" 120 lbs the last time I weghed myself.I'm probably less then that now.But the csa should'nt discriminate against someone thats heavy as long as it does'nt affect their driving.When is this thing spose to be implimented for sure?Is it this fall?

The latest "official" date on the CSA 2010 web page is November this year, but people keep telling me that they hear it is pushed back to July next year. Sounds like truck stop rumors to me.

The problem is that this is America, and that is his choice. We are free to do as we choose. While it may be disgusting and stupid, this man is free to live this way.

I agree 100%.Sure drivers are obease out here but that's their choice.If he's a good driver and obey the laws ect then why condemn him for being heavy,that's discrimination.I see many heavylazy DOTS at the scale house.They should get fired as well.Their job is just as dangerous as ours.

I see many heavy, lazy DOTS at the scale house.

There is sound motivation for a Diesel Cop to become obese. If they can't get their fat ass under a truck they get to go sit in the scale house, out of the weather.

Well nevertheless,if we the trk driver,me excluded get penalized for being overweight and not meeting their standards well then the same should go for the FAT COPS.They should'nt get special treatment.If one lazy cop is fat then they all should get penalized.But nope that is'nt how our worthless system works.Go after the trk drivers,each and every one of them.I think every one of those lazy fat cops should do the same as the thin good looken ones.We are equal as far as the law goes well that should apply to them as well.
