issed:It isn't about how many oil fields there are here in the US, or making OPEC pump more oil out of the ground to put on the market, it's about getting the damn oil companies to reinvest some of their hundreds of billions in profit in upgrading the old refineries, and building new refineries (possibly on old closed-down military bases) that can refine the capacity of gas & diesel needed by the people of this country at a decent and affordable price. We all know about all the oil that is in the ground waiting to be pumped. It doesn't matter if you pump it out of the ground by the boat load if you can't turn it into gas or diesel. Why do you think most of the oil gets sent to foreign countries.....They have the upgraded and new refineries...Stop worrying about how much oil is in the ground and start attacking the oil companies about re-investing the exorbitant profits like we initially planned with the BIG NATIONWIDE BOYCOTT. It seems that ya'll are flying in all kinds of different directions again. What happened to One Battle At A Time.....The Oil Companies are HUGE......The Government is HUGE.....you can't fight them both at the same time and win....pick one and fight that one and win.......Then go after the other if they still feel the need to fight after seeing the first one lose. Think about it everyone, and lets all get back on track instead of running in all different directions......I'm not saying that some of you don't have great ideas and I'm not saying they don't need to be done, just that you need to "Prioritize". How much do you really believe your gov. reps. are going to do against the oil companies when most or all of them have a big fat portfolio full of Oil Stocks? Half of the people I talk to on the street about a boycott of oil companies tell me, "Why would I want to hurt the oil company, I have stock in them?" These are just citizens like you and I. If they are hesitant in going after the oil companies, do you think your rich representatives are going to be anxious to. Just stop for a moment and think about these things. If you think I'm wrong, continue on as you are going. If you realize that I might be right, let's get back on track to our initial Battle and start building it BIG & STRONG so we can win it. Ya'll Have An Awesome Day!!

Our Government "IS THE CONSPIRACY":wtf::banghead:Sorry Bandit , but the problem is NOT the oil companies not reinvesting.impo The problem is the World Bank and World Trade Organization set the price of a barrel of oil and our government is complacent in the conspiracy! We have people hell bent on the collapse of this nation!

Sorry Freightmaster...but you may not be entirely correct here. Fuel prices at the pump increased this last week while oil prices stalled - as reported in the associated press today. Refineries are a major reason pump prices continue to rise...influenced only by the speculative oil market. The world supply of oil is far from short. The refinery capacity is the bottle-neck, and until this issue is dealt with, oil price will only be a cost factor involved with the pricing of fuel. Big oil is capitalizing on this with huge capital returns on their refinery investments.

I'll probably only end up creating some hoople...but this is what I believe.
Truckers and Citizens United was created for the purpose of truckers and citizens to unite and fight to take our country back. For anyone to say you may not unite and use that title is not focusing on the true intention behind the title. I say YES. We are Truckers and Citizens United (ALL OF US THAT CHOOSE TO UNITE,) and if you so decide to unite with us...then place that title beneath your signature.

Hey Ya'll,,,I'm still not feeling up to par, but I'm here for a little while anyway. I got out today and went to the doctor and wound up getting totally disgusted by what I saw. Gas here went to $3.89 a gal. up from $3.79 yesterday and diesel to $4.65 a gal., up from $4.49 yesterday. We still need this boycott, and we need it Right Now. However, this is not going to be enough or soon enough to help us at the rate the oil companies are stealing from us. If they keep going at the rate they are now going, the boycott won't be a fast enough to mean anything before we all go under. We need the boycott, but we need something Strong, and We Need It NOW!!! At the rate they are raising fuel prices they will easily break all of us long before a boycott even bothers them. I don't know if we can even move fast enough to stop what they are doing, without the majority of people in this country saying we've had enough and just plain STOP....Stop and Stay Home. We all know that isn't going to happen, so where does this all leave us? My local news hasn't even mentioned the fact that gas and diesel jumped as much as it did today. It's like nobody cares anymore. We just fill up and pay the price, whatever it is. What they did have on the news was a whole segment on "The Art Of Dumpster Diving". Can you believe that? They are showing the people how to steal food from a grocery store dumpster. What the hell has this damn country come to? What the hell is wrong with the people of these United States Of America? It's no wonder I'm sick.....all this is enough to make anyone sick. There is a report on the national news RIGHT NOW about truckers using drugs to KEEP GOING.....not about truckers going broke because of high fuel prices.....DANGEROUS TRUCKERS ON DRUGS !!!!!........Welcome to the USA, Home Of The Naieve and Land Of The Bankrupt.....Does the Government own and control the mass media? I really don't know if we can do anything fast enough to stop all of this or even slow it down, but I know we have to at least give it our best shot.....No one else seems to give a shit about anything anymore. Has anyone come up with any poster/flyer samples? I have homemade signs in my yard and on my vehicles, but something a little nicer would be more effective I think. I'll try to be here as much as I can tonight, it may be off and on, but I'll do my best. I don't think there is such a thing as an Awesome Day anymore.....so I'm not even going to say it.
You've said quite a bit on a number of threads, which are you asking about? I've read just about every post on the entire forum, and I'm finding quite a few to be redundant. And all seem to be getting very lengthy. I think we need to start cutting back on the length a bit, including myself. It's getting to the point that everyone is starting to write short stories on almost every thread. It takes half the night just to read most of them. We appreciate all the input, just try to shorten them up a bit.Hasn't anyone even been paying attention to what I have been saying?:headscratch:

No damn body left me in charge. I don't want to be in charge of a damn thing freightmaster. I only said what "The Man In Charge", BullWinkle, said weeks ago. When everyone starts posting their "small books" the thread gets closed. I don't want to see that happen if it is an informative thread. If you feel like I'm taking charge, maybe it's time for you to step up and get off your ass in front of your computer and YOU get out there and do something to change this mess. So far all I've seen you doing is researching different info on your computer about how corrupt our government is and what a bunch of assholes the oil execs. are. I think we all know this already, and now we're at the point that we need help doing something about it. Here's an idea, Why don't you stand up and take charge, and maybe you can motivate everyone and get this thing going so we all don't wind up in the shitter. I was off of here sick in bed for a few days, and I didn't see you get a damn thing done but sit here and bitch about how awful our government was. Stop Bitching and do something about it for Christs sake. I'm about to the point where I'm just going to go away and ya'll can do this shit. If that's what everyone thinks and wants, all you have to do is say so, and I'm gone. :banghead:Who died and left you in charge ####?:headscratch:
