One Battle At A Time...."Prioritize"

Ya'll take a look at the response (or lack of) to this last post and sit back and think about it. Think long and hard about it.:headscratch:

We are being set up for the North American Union, by dragging the nation through the mud so that at some point they can offer us a dirty rag to wipe our face with and we're going except it as it were manna from heaven.

So the bottom line is the root problem is we are being taken over by Organized Crime, and a corrupt government.

We need to go beyond the truckers, and try to get all Americans to see that if they don't stand up and fight back there is only going to be the very rich, and the very poor. We I watch these TV programs that show how well the rich are living I just want to puke.

Anyone heard of hot fuel? During the summer fuel expands so you don't get a full gallon of fuel. In Canada their pumps take into account the temperature of the fuel.

There are a lot of stupid people allowed to breed which just adds to the problem of over population. At some point the population bubble is going to bust ..... and that's going to be a good thing..

Welcome to Globalization.

Is there any life here?

Am I in a Truckers Forum where people are fighting to save an industry or in a Cemetary? It feels like a Cemetary. Is anyone here still alive? :woohoo:

It Is Really Time To Wake Up

I thought it might be a good time to revitalize this thread. I have listened to all of those who have been advocating this letter writing campaign tell us that "it will work, just give it time". I'm wondering how much time we need to give it. I'm watching independent truckers along with small trkng companies drop off daily. They don't have time to sit and wait anymore. We have watched the oil companies raise and lower prices at their will, as if to say...."We got you and you can't do a thing about it". We watched the lapdogs in DC hold their meetings and ask questions and then all go out and have a few drinks and a good laugh. While they were having their useless meetings, you were paying them. If you were an independent trucker, chances are you weren't getting paid. You were trying to figure out how to feed your family next week. How many of you that are advocating that we sit back and wait for someone in DC to read all these letters are actually independent truckers? How many of you are company drivers? How many of you have absolutely nothing to do with the trucking industry? Independent Truckers in this country can't wait anymore for letters to be written and ignored by the lapdogs in DC who are now talking about parking spaces on busy interstates, and now actually have you discussing it like it is a priority issue. Hello,,,,,,,if you can't afford to run your truck, you damn sure don't need a parking space along the interstate. All you need is a wide shoulder to park on when you finally run out of money and run out of fuel. Can't you people see that these people in Washington don't give 2 damns about you or your industry. They aren't one bit concerned that you are going to do anything in response to their total lack of concern. They have seen what we did in the past 3 months....(basically nothing) and they aren't the least bit worried about us. They are sitting having their lunchtime martinis saying ,,,,"if that's the best they got"......and they're right. You keep saying that we have to do everything legally, don't make anyone mad, don't stir up trouble and make us look like thugs. Well, we've done it your way up till now, and I still don't see things getting any better for the Independent, and I still see small companies and independents losing their businesses and their livelyhoods. Please wake up and start organizing this industry into a show of force and get some help for all of us before this mess gets even worse than it already is.......and I promise you "It Will Get Alot Worse". We need to pick "One Battle Soon" and at least get into the fight......No one is going to do it for us......Many have said that we need to get the American Citizen on our side before we can fight.....What The Hell Are We? Are we not American Citizens? Don't wait for the rest of the people to fight your battle......most of them don't care if you eat tomorrow or not..Sorry, just a true fact. :banghead:

Im with ya, man. Believe me, the last conversation with a senate aid ended with,"We've exhausted our 1st amendment rights, the next step is the 2nd amendment"
I can't put it to them any plainer than that.
I know it's bad, I'm still tryin, but I don't have an answer for "when"

I can tell you bandit on july 28th I'm supposed to meet up with some people in Charlotte to plan a surrounding of Raleigh. When I get the call this week I'll tell you when and where - the more the merrier - ok?

Are you going to put together an plan of unity that all these independents can get behind and give 100% support to? and lead it?

I have seen a lot of plans go into place in the last several months, and I have seen many people bashing the plans that are out there, and this is the part that concerns me the most. It is just like talking on the radio. A few people are wanting to stick their neck out there with a plan, but since their plan isn't perfect, it simply gets bashed into failure when those who are bashing would be much better served by looking into a plan that is out there, and working positively to remove as many flaws as possible.

Nothing is going to happen overnight. A good plan is going to take several monthgs to develop, and much longer to build the support to make it worthwhile.

I have been lurking here for a while, never really got into posting on message boards thoug until now. I seen a very positive effort going on here and throughout the Industry with the April shutdown. But, it happened too soon, there was no plan of action for once the shutdown started (at least that I can find), and within 2 days, truckers on this and every other message board out there were whining because they still seen trucks running. The result? any chance at unity from that shutdown was killed because truckers thought something would be fixed overnight.

I got excited when I seen one of the people who were very active during the April shutdown posting here regarding the potential start of a new organization. The guy was simply looking for a group of people to commit to making something with structure happen. Seeing that is what made me join. Sadly, that died immediately because rather than seeing all of these truckers who want things done gettin aboard, and then working to organize a plan with solid leadership, there was nothing but demands to know what the full plan was, and the entire thing got shut down. Another great opportunity shot to hell because there are nowhere near enough truckers willing to take the time to work together and oranize a solid long term plan.

The bottom line is, since April, nothing has changed. You still have a few people wanting to move forward with some sort of organization, but it is all for nothing because there are far too many people on the message boards looking to find flaws in everything, and "talk" about everything, rather than spend their talking time behind the scenes actually working on a solid plan for change.

Maybe the problem is that there really isn't that many truckers who are wanting change?

First of all Jimmy, I don't see myself as a "leader", and I don't mean to portray myself as one. I am however a hard worker, and a hard fighter. I'm not claiming to have the best plan of action to follow in order to win this fight, if I did, I would have employed it long ago. What I am attempting to do is spur on everyone who accesses this forum into thinking of and sharing ideas that we might be able to use in putting a workable plan together. I too have watched what I thought were good plans come and go due to the simple lack of organization. I've been watching them not only here, but for the past 35+yrs.. Hopefully you or someone else here, or someone who will soon visit here will have the answer to how we can successfully organize this fight and make it finally work. We have all seen different things tried, and some resulting in partial success, but more is needed. The letter writing campaign may show some limited success in the distant future, but there are way too many that need relief right now and can't wait the length of time a letter writing campaign might take. The hardest part of a working plan is making the working drivers and independents aware of what is going on. That isn't an easy task. There are actually very few that are running up and down the road with a computer in their laps, so sites like this are useless in reaching them. Most have no access to a computer at all. It's hard to organize a group when you don't have a plan to communicate with them. When I read your last two paragraphs I see you doing exactly what you are complaining of others doing. In response to your last line,,,,If you truly believe that there are not enough truckers who want changes in the industry, you are obviously not a member of this industry and are subsequently on the wrong forum. I don't believe that's the case, so please don't even infer that scenario.
We all know that isn't the case at all. Bottom line is, we have many good plans to work with, we need a good group of leaders, and a plan for organization and communication. Thanks for being here and please join in the fight.......Have An Awesome Day
P.S.....If you are truly interested in helping, please join is in the new thread.

GdMornin Ya'll :tiphat:
I wasn't sure where I wanted to post this message to ya'll, and then I thought that this would be as good a place as any. I want to thank you all for your caring and concern for me in my fight with these health problems. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have so many folks that I have never even met, care so much. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Now for the next part of the message.....This past weekend I had a major computer problem and couldn't access the internet at all. I couldn't get anyone in the Embarq service dept. to even try and fix the problem until Mon. afternoon. As a result, I was without internet access from Fri. afternoon on. My not being here worried some of you to the point of panic. It started to take away the focus on the most important problem you are undertaking right now. You can't let that happen, no matter what. As the title to this thread states..."One Battle At A Time" Stay Focused. I appreciate you wanting to help me with my personal fight dealing with this awful disease, but right now this is my battle and my fight. I am not giving up, I promise you. I'm going to continue to fight my battle, and have had to step aside temporarily from our fight to regain control of our industry and our country to do so. That's why I need all of you to continue that fight and have to ask you to pick up my part in that fight for right now. You can't be worrying about me and my health to the point that it distracts you from doing that. The Battle you are waging is much more important right now and demands all of your attention. I promise that if any drastic turn of events should happen in my personal battle, you will be notified. I have given instructions that should something happen that I can't be here because of something to do with my health, a message be posted here or sent to either Luna or TTW or BullWinkle to let you know what's going on asap. If I ever come up "missing in action" again, it will be because of computer problems. In which case, just be patient and I'll be back as quickly as the puter guru's let me. As we all know too well, we don't have much control when it comes to that.
Again, Thank you all for caring so much for a complete stranger, and especially one who has in the past, given quite a few of you a pretty rough time. It just goes to show that the people in this industry really can come together when they want to. Now please, point all that energy in the direction of the "WAR" to take back our Industry & Our Country.......Ya'll Are Truly The Greatest ! !..............Have An Awesome Day ;)
