Not to hijack @Electric Chicken thread I'll put this here. At my last place we used regular trucks and had to crank landing gear. One older guy was dropping trailers like the truck was spring ride, Ol' school thinking he would crank the gear to the pavement. We have air ride trucks now and the way they work is you leave some space between the dolly pads and the pavement and drop the air, slide out from the trailer.
He was dropping empties that would get loaded so the nose of the trailer would naturally raise as the trailer was loaded.
His reasoning was he didn't want to damage the landing gear.
My response was...we can buy new landing gear; I can't buy new nuts after cranking my nuts off trying to lower the trailer. Hernia in the making.

I dont mind being hijacked but I kinda see both sides.

But I'm always in the camp of drop it perfect and no one will complain.

That was my procedure too when it was going in our yards for us to move later. If it was coming off someone else's truck do it like your buddy Spring Ride there. It was quickly evident to us that our fifth wheels were quite a bit taller than all the Crapcadias and Volvos that Ramitdeep and Ditchpinder were bombing around in.

They are coming out with a Road Runner and Coyote movie. I loved those cartoons. Back in the day pouring out a big bowl of cereal and milk and watching them on Saturday mornings.
I hope it is good and not some woke crap.

It will probably be more woke crap because, the woke cancelled Saturday morning cartoons in the first place.

I backed in a trailer next to a Brampton truck. With the new Ontario safety stickers, it easy to tell from a mile away the date on them.
Buddy's truck safety expired three months ago.
Was I surprised? No, no, not really.

What they did in Ontario was change to expiry date from a hole punch and expires one year from that month to putting the expiry year and month in big, bold numbers.
The other thing they did was add a QR code that tells what shop did the inspection.
There is more to it the shop has to document the safety inspection and submit it to the MTO/DOT using an I-pad type thing issued by the Ministry.

Pilot got lucky!
I knew of one guy that owned a small plane and he was a real dick! He got mouthy with the tower and they made him wait so long that he had to go back and get fuel.

We have a mixed bag of sticker styles but they're all the date it was inspected so it expires a year after what's displayed.

Kinda always messes me up since I grew up on PA stickers that have the expiration date not the issued date.
