That's probably why my remote car starter doesn't work inside the truck.
But being in the truck is not my concern about lightning, my concern is being outside closing trailer doors.

Today I saw some moron dropping a trailer blocking 5 other trailers. I stopped him on the way out and said you're not going to leave your trailer like that, you're blocking five other trailers.
He says I put it there so you guys could find it.
I said put it over there in giant open space that can fit at least three trailers.
Our yard isn't even super full like it was a few years ago. We have plenty of open spaces, so much so that now we are only dropping trailers where there is a concrete pad for the landing gear.

Same. I didn't FA when I was in the Amazon yard because that's a big ass steel box and the electricalness would go straight through me while I'm touching it.

When you worked at the airport, was there always a spark when you hooked up the ground cables to planes?

Nope. No spark but that was the first thing you did after chocking the wheels was hook up the grounding cable.
Also, the fuelers have their own grounding cable that they connect.

Now that I think about it, before my time there was a plane, I think a DC-8 that burned to the ground at the gate 81 extension at terminal 2. An Air Canada plane that caught fire due to static electricity while fueling. they forgot to attach the grounding cable. Not sure if it was the ground crew that forgot to attach it to the nose gear or if the fueler forgot to attach their cable to the main gear.
My father saw it and told me about it.

What did you do exactly when you worked the airports? I'm sure you've said a bunch of times but...

I loaded/unloaded planes. Sometimes Worked in the baggage room. I did the marshaling in and push-backs of planes off the gate. I did de-icing.
That was commercial passenger jets.
At another company I did towing and fueling. That was for privately owned jets and props. One of our customers were the Riechmann brothers, among others.
