Life in Sector 7 G.

I'd never own a restaurant because of people.

All it takes is one disgruntled SuperKaren blasting their obnoxiousness all over the internet to ruin or severely damage a restaurant's reputation.

And the people who think they're automatically a respected food critic because they have a Yelp account are probably the worst.

There's a little kiosk type drive through coffee shop around the corner from me that recently opened. I think it's Mennonites because they're in the same section/land as a farm supply store and a country market store.

They do a pretty good business it seems. There's always a line and being drive through only means they turn over a lot.

I haven't tried it. Maybe I will someday. It has good reviews. Coffee is just too easy to brew at home though. Stopping for it seems like such a hassle. Lol.

I make my own coffee at home.
Coffee is free at work. They have a machine that makes coffee, espresso, Cappuccino and a few other drinks. It grinds the beans fresh every time.

In the warmer months I bring in the iced coffee grounds (instant) and use their ice machine and water cooler.

I have been You tubing comedy videos with hecklers.

Ever been to a comedy club?

I have been to couple of clubs, and I was there to see the comedians and not some person that suffers from main character syndrome.

Hecklers are the worst! No one came and paid money to see you or hear you.
You are not adding value, you are detracting from it.

I must have the same YouTube algorithm. I've been watching the trend of voice overs of comedy club audio as well as direct comedy club videos.

I like it when the comedian roasts the heckler but I'm not a fan of most hecklers.

I recently discovered Nate Birgatze (sp?) and he's hilarious. I didn't know he's been around for a long time.

I am not really a big fan of moving our 60' trailers. One, some are very close to the cab when you pin them.
Two, I am not that experienced with them as I am with the 48' and 53'
The good thing is out 60' trailers are tri-axles so they are more predictable in the way they move.

I am relatively confidant moving them but not as much 53's.

The standard back in the day was 48' then they went to 53'ft. that was a five-foot increase. Now 60'ft from 53' is a 7 ft jump.

I hope I got the math right. I have always sucked at math.

A 7 foot increase would be a lot. Especially if they're mixed in with 53s.

I haven’t seen one of the 60 footers for a long time out West. Did that initiative not work out as well as planned?
They are using them in Ontario. They use the 60 footers only for some stores.
They received about 50 or 60 heated 60 footers last fall and half of them went to Brockville, ON and the rest stayed here. that's on top of the dry van 60' s that already had.

It’s interesting how those 60 footers didn’t catch on with anyone else.

Loblaws in Saskatchewan (10 or so years ago), were running a trial with pulling three 53 foot trailers in their turnpike set ups. They looked like an Australian road train. Lol.

On my way home, I see this cop behind a car, and I know they are just about to light him up by the way they were following them. Sure if enough cop lights them up. Buddy moves over from the right lane to the left lane as though the cop just wanted to get by even though the left lane was wide open. Then buddy pulls into the left turn lane. Cop directs them to turn right into a commercial driveway. Buddy does that but only pulls in enough for his car leaving the cop car halfway on the street. The cop blares that siren horn and buddy doesn't even pull up further. Just sits there.

Buddy, you're getting a ticket for sure just for being so stupid! You earned it!

I have seen those 53' triples in videos. Pretty impressive!

I don't think any other companies have 60' trailers here. They are custom built and brand new. I'll have to look up the regulations on it. It might be like LCVs only certain companies can run them. I am not sure.

If I were to venture a guess, I would say most fleets would not order them because of regionality issues. 53's are legal everywhere and if they are a cross-border operation 60's would not be utilized as much.
I know they use them in Texas but probably not in other states.

Crazy!
People lined up on the street to get gas like it was the 1970s during the gas crisis. 1 dollar 34 per liter
I drove past all of them fools got the same price up the road.
Even if you pay a higher price is it really worth your time to line up to buy gas?
I am not an elitist, just saying your time is worth more than saving around $2.00 -$4.00.
No wonder I am not wealthy, because I am unwilling to spend an hour and a half waiting in line to save $4.00

I'm the same. I won't sit in line to save a couple bucks. End up idling the savings away anyway in addition to the wasted time.
