My mom will be leaving for Costa Rica soon and I will be dog sitting. It's a bit more work for me but I don't mind. The dog has a personality and makes me laugh sometimes; he's a character.
I thought I would help her with some essential Spanish phrases like Mas Tequila and dos cervezas, por favor. I learned those in case I ever went to a Spanish speaking country. They don't teach those in the app I am using to learn Spanish, Duolingo.
She doesn't drink so those phrases are as useless as everything I have learned on Duolingo.
Learning on Duolingo, how to say Juan eats apples in Spanish is not something I, or anyone would use in any conversation with a native Spanish speaker.
