You earn enough money to eat, if you work.

Don't work? Don't eat.

Get out of line in any way? Cut some pay.

Lots of work these criminals could do, and yes, I would force them to do the work if they wanted to earn their food and water.

No weight room. They can walk for exercise.

No fighting over what is watched on television. I will pick the appropriate programming for those who have the energy at the end of the day to watch television.

This would be in place of a death penalty or life sentence.

What has always struck me as odd is the "do gooders" crying on "unusual punishment" but keeping an inmate on Death Row for years with appeal after appeal.

And what has always bothered me about execution is the fact that nobody is held responsible for executing an innocent man.

I say do away with the death penalty entirely, for that reason.

Prosecutors don't give a f*** about the truth, they only care about convictions. And in far too many cases, when exonerating DNA evidence is tested years later, or witnesses recant, the same prosecutors will fight tooth & nail to keep the guy in prison or death row, because they'd rather keep an innocent person in prison or let them be murdered by the government than admit they made a mistake.

When prosecutors do that, they should be slowly lowered into boiling oil on national television.

You shall find that most people will run from the honest truth. Let face it color coating something makes for better excuses. Nut houses and prisons have swinging doors. Most that end up in theses have the justice system down pat.
I mean why worry three a square meals a day a bed and locker to keep things in , free medical, free tv computer and telephone cards, Gov even pays them to work and furnishes a place for them to buy what they want...as well as family member put funds in there account for them. They even get free schooling. They become depend not independent.

who cares if the execution is botched I don't let them suffer. when they committed the crime on there victims were they thinking about how painfull it was gonna be I doubt it. I agree with mike make em work and hard labor they don't work they don't eat. or the ones on death row we could send them out in a fenced in area to train the snipers and let the snipers use em for target practice. providing there proven guilty

heck the prison system is to much like the holiday in. it seems like they have more rights in prison than out on the street. with mp3 players radios cable t.v. and t.v. sets

Have you ever shot a gun? Just the explosion is enough to make recoil. I never shit blanks before but I know a bang from 150 grain is enough to make you loose your focus for a sec, hell you'll tingle all over for a minute

I don't understand why people are so bent about this topic....how they feel it's inhumane to make a prisoner convicted by a jury of his peers to be sentenced to death in what most likely is a case of extreme violence in some sense ending with someone else dying. Wonder what the person that suffered to the hands of the convicted would want considering their life was cut short.

That's not why I oppose it.

I oppose it because the criminal justice system is a mess, and innocent people get convicted.

I'd rather see 10 violent psychopaths get their death sentence commuted to life w/out parole than see one innocent person get murdered by the state.

But in an open & shut case, like the crime was on freakin' video or something, where there's no possible way the person could NOT be guilty, then yes, execute them.

The reality of it is some are turned loose out on the general public.
At least the general public stands warned...So many times the repeat offender returns to the
same criminal ways and innocent people just do not know what they dealing with. Oh yea
one can say they done there time which some do but where is the justice for the victim they
chose to prey on. Imo wearing a warning tattoo is justice served for the victim. Who knows

What @Duck said. Prosecutors are all about racking up a big score card, and Justice has little to do with that. Moreover, death in itself is an escape, and an expensive one for the rest of us at that. Contrast that with the certainty of staring at those walls, bars - day after day, for all the long years to come, the nights, unrelenting...
