Heck I never get calls anyway unless from the broker but thank u much ill deffinately remember that.This lap top is so new to me.I feel like a kid with her first toy. lolNow, just don't pickup the laptop when the phone rings and try to answer it

i recommend one from walmart so you can return the lemons..it is a witch to get into best buy with a truck..i have a hewlett packard on the truck for years..i also like the new cases that protect against vibration, which is why most of them fail..if you park within 2 blks of an idle aire you can log on cheaper than if buying a pilot card..for example iowa has free wireless at all rest areas as does texas..check your route..some of the little notebooks are pretty great also..but i hate my compaq with windows vista..the old windows is so much better..and the larger monitor screens are well worth the money when you are tired and hate peering at them.anything can be stolen so keep the financial costs reasonable

This bites the big one my adapter isnt working so i cannt get on it bcause battery is low anybody know where i can get only the adapter does truckstops sell them if so name a few please

Are you saying that your cig lighter plug adapter doesn't work? Do you have an inverter?
You can try a truck stop, but you're probably better off with a Best Buy or something like that.

No my lap top adapter does not work u know that thing u plug into the computer when your battery is low well that does not work my invertor is fine theres not awhole lot of best buys a trk can get into so does anyone know of any truckstops that sell just a laptop adapter

Not much hope in finding a DC plug at the truck stop. Office supply stores have it also.
However, all you really need is a small inverter until you find it.
You can order off the net, but being home is the problem.

I sure do enjoy my laptop.I'm here at a restarea and nothing to see but trks kind of boring.Its nice to have when there isnt anything to do and ill have alot of time this weekend.I have a beautiful flat screen digital tv,but why watch that when I have this.

I got an Acer Aspire and it's a pretty sturdy built laptop and whoever commented on the Compaq sucks well I have to agree, they tend to get hotter especially if they use an Intel Celeron like mine. The Acer has an AMD Anthlon and it barely even gets warm. It's a much faster and better built laptop in my opinion. Also forgot to mention HP owns Compaq so that explains the quality of them.

You know your computers,I never heard of an Acer Aspire.I have one of those cooling jobbies whatever its called.lol But have'nt had to use it yet,i'm not on this for hrs at a time yet.But that may change this weekend.LOL

I had an Acer desktop years ago. I have had 4 compaqs with absolutely no problems.
2 of them were laptops and they only got a little on the hot side. The last compaq had almost a million miles on it.
The toshiba I used for 6 months this year would almost burn whatever it was on after being used for a long time. It has the AMD chip and is extremely slow.
I will never own another computer that does not have an Intel chip.
I have been working with computers since 1984. The ones I had with the non Intel chips were always a problem computer.
It comes down to what you like and meets your demands. I need extreme reliability and speed during tax season and have learned what I need over the years.
