Lower your landing gear to within an inch of the ground, dump your air, then drive out. It should be the prober height when you or someone eles hooks up.
When I back haul heavy paper loads I crank down till I hear a lil air start and then pull out, I did it years ago and when I pulled out the tractor shot out like a bat out of hell, now as soon as I hear a lil air I stop and get out from under the trailer works for me. Terry that kinda depends on the surface of the ground you have to work with just saying my way works for me.:hiding:
I have never understood how drivers get hit in the face, or on the head when cranking landing gear up or down. WHen I am operating the crank, my face and head are at least an arm's length from the handle, even in tight situations where other trailers are close by.
