that's only 2 weeks away. they very well may have more priority surgeries to do, then too, if she needs to stay overnight, they need a bed for her. they can be pre-planning for her to stay. i'd not lose too much sleep over this or get all bent out of shape, they caught it early.Stress test was good but the surgery ain't til the 27th..
It's like some board of directors somewhere decided they were moving too quickly on this and they can make more money if they drag it out and allow it to spread first.
we all wish her the best, and she is in everyone's prayers.

i think YOU NEED to take 2 quaaludes, snort some coke, inject some heroin, and maybe eat an entire box of ExLax.... and relax....as it is, beyond your control.
even though her scheduled operation was for the 27,th, now pushed up to tomorrow (19th) she still had to wait for a bit. yes, the cancer she has, as you say, is aggressive, and this is an important operation, but take a look at those that need open heart surgery, or brain surgery or lung surgery to remove a blood clot. those are more important for the moment, as certain death can be imminent.My sister sent me this screenshot.

we are all happy your mom will be taken care of, the real test of your fortitude (and hers) will come with the treatments after the operation. today's treatments may not be as harsh as what my aunt went thru many, many years ago.
as always, best of luck to her, and in my prayers a s well.

she will more than likely be tired alot from the radiation to she might even feell like she's gonna barf to after it. just be glad they didn't sat chemo that shit's nasty i don't care what anyone says!!!

glad to hear she did good. now comes the treatments and as the link said, either she will or won't get sick.
67 is young
Just had a girl at work go through chemo and radiation for about 4 months on and off. She had lung cancer on the outside of her lungs. First they tattoo you with marks so they can line up the beam every time. Just small dots. She went through the chemo and radiation with no problem. Lost all her hair but no real side effects. She got the full treatment too. Her cancer was bad and they got it.

Your mom will probably get the radiation once a day every day for maybe a week then start chemo. She may get skin burn from the radiation but never heard of anyone I know that it happened to. We had another girl at work with breast cancer. She went for radiation and chemo and still never missed work except for maybe a handful of days. She lost all her hair. It grew back white and like silk. Now she can't fart or burp which is not a good thing. No lie. She's from Greece. I give her crap all the time. She takes her shoe off and throws it at my head. She's a pretty good shot.
