that's strange. when i did yard jockey work, my stress levels went way down. that "should be" a less stressful job.

It would be if it was just a yard jockey but I am feeding the lines fro different buildings on different streets as well as bringing down loads of fished goods that is about a half mile on another street and everyone in every building thinks I am just waiting outside of their building to be at their disposal.

oh..the building i worked out of, had loading docks on both side, then in the front, which required driving over, and backing up on R/R tracks that were not road level. then driving to another building a few miles away, and working in near total darkness. fun times.

yardman's work can be tough and demanding at times, to keep the trailers moving and at the docks, staging areas, and ready line....

i loved doing that...i only left cuz the company i was employed by, lost the hauling/logistics contract.

Today it was guy that had his tractor jacked in front on my trailer. I asked nicely. He refused to straighten it up. I said you cannot honestly be that ignorant that you refuse to park straight?
Things fell apart from there.
I went to the warehouse supervisor and all loading ceased until he rectified his malparkage.
That is the first time I have ever had to do that.
