Favorite AC\DC song.

Ac/dc is more than a band, and more than a show. It's been the soundtrack to my entire life.....

Remember watching Maximum Overdrive and me pointing out all the different brands of trucks at a single glance? The soundtrack of which was of course, ACDC...and of course, Wagner.

Over and over and over again, until the VCR tape actually wore out??

I remember that.

Humans here humans here humans here.

I've never understood the plot of that movie/short story. It's not like these vehicles have computers for aliens to control. A cat bulldozer is about as archaic as they come and the M-60 on that cart or whatever it was made me laugh. Duck for 30 seconds, what's it gonna reload itself? Hahahaha

I forgot all about DT and chase the ace!!

Oh yeah. I think the ferrari f488 gtb has sixty different computer modules on it. Everything from engine to brakes to steering. All computer controlled.

But we digress from the topic.

Flick of the switch, way underrated album.

Flick of the Switch was a totally hitless album, which is rare for ACDC. Though, it did come out in the shadow of Back in Black, so I'm sure the sales totally overlapped.

I think I got some iTunes creds. I might just get that.

Bedlam in Belgium was cool.

I thought several songs on it were really good. It had a more raw, metal sound to me, which I think is what put off the purists. If it was a dio or ozzy album it'd have been immensely popular, or picture it as a priest album.

Flick of the switch, bedlam in Belgium (which is actually about a riot at a show, Brian Johnson got billy clubbed by a cop on stage) badlands, rising power.... Hell about the only song that I don't like on it was deep in the hole. Landslide I can take or leave.

I liked the sound, it was more agressive than for those about to rock and definitely better than fly on the wall, which also had a few songs I liked.

Ballbreaker was terrible, I don't care what anybody says.

I found Stiff Upper Lip to be more blues than Rock. I think of all the overshadowed albums (Flick of the Swtich, BallBreaker, Blow Up Your Video, Stiff Upper Lip) that Blow Up Your Video was the best.

Blow up your video had some good songs (heatseeker, that's the way I wanna rock and roll, kissing dynamite) but also had some pretty forgettable songs on it (ruff stuff......really?)

The last three, four if you count ballbreaker have that heavy blues sound to it. Truthfully it's how they all started forty years ago doing blues songs (baby please don't go for one, chuck berrys school days for another) maybe they just are at the point in life now where they do what they want. They don't gotta do "back in black part two" anymore to survive

True enough. I've said it before and it's true, they stick to what they know, they've never some "We've evolved" type St. Anger bullshit, and they don't need to. The core fan base (us old farts)n is established and through brilliant marketing (Iron Man movies and commercials and such) they gain new audience all the time.

Just points to another truism...most new music sucks.

Why didn't I know there was an AC/DC treat going in here!!!!!

I got way too many favorite songs to list.

I do agree "Down Payments Blues" is one of their best.

I like Bon and Brian just the same, don't have a favorite.

Didn't know they changed drummer is so.

I mainly pay attention to guitar, bass, voice and lyrics, my friends who super music oriented (teaching me to play the bass) says they're super simple but that's why I like em I guess.

My favorite album is Ballbreaker from the Brian era and I guess Powerage from Bon's era.

Never seems them live but I which I was born 20 years earliers so I could had.

Hang on @AlexG lemme check....

Ya...wow...there's no TX shows at all right now.

We're thinking they're going to add more dates. We're hoping they add more dates.

So you can still see them live with us old farts. Maybe.

You can even get an ACDC beanie. Then @SkateBoard couldn't call you a hippie all the time...cuz who the hell knows what his musical tastes are. Probably EDM or something. Trance maybe. Cuz he's a nerd.

You should switch back to your other avatar now, so people know what the hell I'm talking about since that joke is over a year old now.
Thanks!

I can't switch back to my old avatar cuz the pic was in my other phone and it got fried....

Also I need to get that beanie for sure, my friend gave me an ACDC Back in Black shirt for Christmas and I shit you not it's my favorite shirt to wear
:yahoo:

Here's your old one. I tried for hours to get rid of your hair and put a Marine style haircut on you

I'm gonna hold off on judging this.

I remember when Page hooked up with the Black Crowes and they did a bunch of Zeppelin tunes.
I thought it was gonna suck a bag of dicks.
I mean come on, Chris Robinson trying to sing Percy's stuff?
Turned out pretty damn good.

Let's wait and see.....

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has broken his foot

Yeah he needs to be out touring:rolleyes:

I kinda agree with Jamey

Jasta went on to say: "As far as Axl singing for AC/DC, it doesn't have the excitement as, like, if a Mark Tornillo or… somebody who is more of an underdog, I think, I would be more excited about. I don't know… Like, I would have liked to see a rags-to-riches type of story rather than a bunch of millionaires, you know, kind of doing AC/DC covers. I don't know... I respect Axl, I like his voice, I think his voice will be fine for AC/DC songs. I wanna check it out. But I'm not, like, jumping out of my seat. If you told me Mark from ACCEPT got the gig, I would be losing my mind. I would be so freaking happy, 'cause I love those… I love the last three ACCEPT records; they're fucking great! But I like an underdog story."

I like Flick of the Switch. I like all of AC/DC though so I'm biased. I've seen them three or four times live. Best rock and roll band in my time. IMO.

Jamie Jasta should shut the hell up. He sucks, Hatebreed sucks...

Hatebreed is not metal btw. It's a sub genre called New York Hardcore.

It's an offshooot of Punk.

Listen to a song called Punishment by Biohazard.

Same type stuff.

Not metal, but close and if you listen enough you can tell the difference.
