Got sick from them once. It was something on the lettuce, I guess or something else. Could not pass a rest room for a day and a half.
Have not ate at one since. Not sure I ever will.

I am not sure what you are referring to. It was a couple of months ago. I am not sure it was lettuce or bad meat.
Sometime ago there was outbreak in tomatoes and lettuce that was making people sick.

I remember the tainted mexican strawberries.
I have a friend who0 was 19 at the time, and somehow managed to get his hands on a K100 aerodyne, and a reefer and was pulling a load.
The rule about hauling produce is, if you go hungry, you deserve it.
So, he ate a big pile of these tainted mexican strawberries, and was sick forever.

That is my fear with running reefers, with all these damn food outbreaks I don't want to be stuck with a trailer load full of contaminated food that I can't get rid of.

I don't like Arbys much either i am not a roast beef person I will get the chicken tenders or salad from arbys thats about it.
Them roast burgers are NASTY! I'd rather have the bacon cheddar roast beef.

I remember a heat wave in the midwest several years (like in the mid 90's- I dunno, google it...it happened) back that had old folks in Chicago droppin' like flies.
FEMA brought in reefers to put the body bags in while they stored them for burial.
How'd you like to haul that load.
I'd haul it. I'd probably have PTSD afterwards, but I'd see it as helping out. The first load I hauled to New Orleans was 2 months after Katrina, and I'll carry some of those memories forever too.
You may not believe this, but I was a Boy Scout. And I still believe a lot of what they taught me.
Depends on if it's paying good or not. :cower:

I prefer deli sandwiches. Find a good deli and you can't go wrong. Fresh bread, sourdough, ciabatta, whole wheat, lettuce and tomatoes. Pickles. Fresh cut deli meats, like Black Forest ham, Italian roast beef, salami and pepperoni. Good real cheeses like Tillamook cheddar and Swiss with holes in it, or maybe some provolone. Mayonnaise and deli mustard.
Mmmmmmmm.......deli food.

I would love a hot pastrami with cheese and mustard on rye deli sandwhich yummy!!! We dont have delis here it saddens me. I also love in New York going into a deli and ordering a sausage egg and cheese salt and pepper. I am missing that soo much.
