Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the cardiovascular system.

I haven't really tried eating EVOO or spreading it on bread right out of the fridge but the fridge does a weird thing to EVOO, It kind of hardens it like butter or margarine
Yeah, me neither. Over the years of using it now I pretty much know what works and what doesn't, and spreading it on bread does not even sound like something I'd want to try.

What I will do is pour it in my piping hot tomato soup stir it up then dunk peanut butter bread slices in it. mmm mm good.

In some recipes that call for butter, I've tried substituting olive oil, and sometimes it's OK, sometimes it ruins it.
Thats true.

I've had my fair share of hit and misses over the years with o2 also. Use it long enough though you will find a happy medium at every meal.
Whether you should mix it with the main dish or just spritz it in your drink; I'm pretty comfortable with most meals now on how to incorporate it in.

This is $1 at Walmart

It's just 4 oz of half length spaghetti and a seasoning packet.

Instructions say add 2 tbs of butter, 1-2/3 c water and 1/4 c of milk.

I go 50/50 with butter and olive oil. And I break up the spaghetti noodles in a bowl before they go in.

I also use my little 6" skillet to cook a 5 oz can of chicken breast in olive oil and kickin chicken seasoning and add that when the other stuff is done.

It's good shit. Costs less than $3 even in the Biden economy.

I don't recommend eating canned chicken straight out of the can though. It says it's fully cooked but it's still a little pink. Makes me nervous. And it's better when it's cooked in the seasoning and olive oil anyway.

Olive oil is just not good enough.
It needs to be Extra Virgin.
I don't know what exactly is the difference between extra virgin olive oil and the worn out loose and slutty olive oil other than the labeling on the bottle.

There's no regular virgin either. Just extra.

The difference is shame vs pride in being associated with it.

I think it has to do with the pressing of the olives. Extra Virgin is the first pressing of the olives to extract the oil.
You can buy Olive oil. That would be the regular olive oil, the slutty type that has been pressed two or three times.

I don't think EV olive oil is an antidote for saturated fat.

I mean I don't think you can pig out on bacon and then drink a bottle of olive oil and have it balance out.

If you have high cholesterol you should get a doctor to prescribe a statin drug.
Simvastatin or atorvastatin.

Atorvastatin is generic Lipitor. I don't know what the other one is. Same shit though I think.

Good to see you post more.

I think.

Maybe not.

Yeah I'd have to agree with that..

But all other things equal diet wise and cardio vascular wise I do think the person not taking in o2 daily would develop heart problems or other similar serious problems a lot sooner than the person who does take it.

Balance out: Naw
Mitigate, delay its onset: I'm pretty sure it would.

Its like ingesting a poison in your body. Many times they tell you to dilute the poison by drinking copious amount of water or milk or something to dilute it.

Same ideal here with Olive oil.

@quillcom
I found this out. EVOO hardens when it is refrigerated.
So what you can do as a make-ahead-of-time is pour some EVOO into a margarine container and add your seasonings and pop that into the fridge.
Then you have a spreadable butter/margarine type of EVOO spread to "Butter" bread with.
