DTNA announces freightliner/western star recall

guess he’ll be taking another month off when he drops off @Maria.

Nah, nothing like what I am dealing with.

I have interior lights doing weird stuff like either not wanting to come on, or in the case of the dome light, flashing on and off once in a while.

On top of that, I have a right stalk shift error. Tells me to shift to neutral, but the truck is in neutral. Have to shut the power off to the the interior of the truck, turn it back on, and then I am fine. Lots of people are having this problem after looking through other forums and YouTube. The last time it happened, I got additional information that the shifter wasn’t communicating with the eSAM module.

Nothing major here, just annoying when it happens, especially the dome light because it might flash on and off for two days before it goes back to normal.

Yeah this could cause a lot of twiggy armed soy boys to crash when they lose their power steering, but let's not worry about it til the end of next month.

Nah, nothing like what I am dealing with.

Thought about that after I posted and hopped in the shower. Freightliner had the shop go through all the grounds on the truck, so this could be related.

no point in sending out a recall until parts are on hand to do the repair.
