Question is as simple as the thread title. Do you think they help at all or not?

No politics, and no reason to really reply here. Just vote in the poll. I'm just curious as to everyone's thoughts here. If you think they help a little, then the answer is yes. If you think they have no effect, the answer is no. If you really have no idea, then "i don't know".

More than anything, it is a test of our new poll setup with the upgrade to the forum I did tonight.

You can smell a fart through jeans, and underwear, and in some cases from three counties away.

Juss sayin'...
But if you shit your pants, it gets caught in your underwear. It doesn't blast 6 feet across the room.

They are saying that the virus germs don't travel alone. They stick to snot droplets that are big enough to be stopped by almost any piece of cloth.

The masks aren't supposed to protect the wearer. They're supposed to protect everyone around you, within snot flying distance.

That's the government narrative anyway. It's what Dr Fauci says.

Still need more votes, because everyone should vote all the time on every poll I create....

That said, my opinion on masks is that they do help. I said that in the beginning, even though I was getting it thrown in my face because the so called experts were against it.

How much do they help? No idea, but they have to help a little. They will at least catch some of what flies out of you and keep it from hitting others. Nothing, short of SCUBA gear, is going to allow you to stay 100% free of spreading or breathing this crap in while also allowing you to breathe at all.

That said, I think they are only useful in confined areas where you can't maintain distance from others. And no, I'm not using "social" in front of that word. Just keep you space from others, like I have always wanted to do. Nothing irritates me much more than people crowding me, especially if they are talking.

Washing your hands is #1. Washing with soap, not hand sanitizer. You need your immune system to be as strong as possible, hand sanitizer goes against that. Distance from others, and wear a mask when you cannot.

There are a few countries that are entering the prime time of their flu season right now. Because of what they have been doing for covid, the flu infections have been slashed compared to prior years. We should see the same thing in the United States, especially with the snotty nosed kids having to wear masks at school, and/or learning from home.

Yeah I'm with you. I like that I can now charge people with assault for getting into my personal space.

I am not sure if they help or not. I wear one because the plant and most stores want you to. It's their business so they set the rules.

I am mostly outdoors and we don't wear mask but we do social distance.

Thank God the one guy in the plant wears his mask because he tends to speak mostly. :D
