How's about we start in late 2006 or 07.. when it all came to a head and 2009 had NOTHING to do with it.


I'm sorry but I fail to see the Obamanization factor in what precluded this terrible mess NOR am I willing to blame the Bushwacked era.

When are people gonna stop blaming the political administrations or party's for crimes committed by greedy industry ??

I've got a Masters in Business Admin but don't think that has led to my conclusions. When Greenspan put out the word of his retirement, at the peak of insanity, I had some serious misgivings about the future. He and his cronies got out of the markets just in the nick of time.......

Here's a way to look at this thing.....

Obama is nothing more than the Doctor in charge of triage.

He didn't cause the injury and we're bleeding out.

I've got the "time capsule" thing started in the moderator section and I've got posts #1 and #5 from this thread copied to it and edited. If y'all see any posts showing fuel prices, rates, etc. between now and then, PM me the links or post the links here, and I'll copy them over.

It's in the moderator section for now because when it's under construction I don't want 50 irrelavant posts hijacking it, .. it''ll be enough trouble just keeping the other moderators from turning it into a discussion about beer and souped-up cars from the 1960's. I'll move it to the layover tavern sometime today or tomorrow.

We also need the current average diesel price. I haven't been in a truck in over a month, and I never paid close attention to it because a rich guy in Iowa always pays for the fuel for the trucks I drive & they just give me this little magic plastic thing that turns on the pump.

I do not know what your political leanings are, but this is what most progressives want you to believe. But, Obama's policies have raised the debt 5 trillion dollars in the last 3.5 years. We have experienced a loss in employment during this same time period. Obama's policies have caused fuel prices to go up. His policies are putting the coal industry out of business. He prevents oil pipelines from being completed, causing fuel to go up and the loss of several hundred thousands of jobs.

Look around, our country is in decline, why, Obama. He is even campaigning under the Marxist banner now. Either we get rid of him or this country is done for.

Industry, as every other business, exist to make a profit. Otherwise, what is the motivation? I know that is the major motivation for my business.

I have never heard that man say the words, "I hate America".

In working in the capacity of Commander In Chief he has played the politics game. Maybe not the way that some wold have wanted it done, but he is not the first man in that position to screw the job up.

So, please, give us examples.

He has run the national debt up to the point that it is likely that no one livivng today will ever see it paid down.

The National Debt was way over the point where it will ever be paid down long before that guy assumed responsibility for it.

The actions by Congress and the Senate when they began raiding the Social Security coffers many years ago with false promises to pay the funds back is when things took a wrong turn.

Now there will not be any of the money that hard working individuals have paid in left when they reach the point where it will be their turn to kick back and reap the benefits of a long life of hard, honest work.

The current state of not just the United States, but the World, is the result of greed and poor judgement of those who wield the power over the economy.

And suppose McCain/Palin did get elected.

We would be watching the end of the World as we once knew it because that misguided pair would have us embroiled in the third, and final war, a war that will be the end of the human race.

It isn't enough that we got involved in Iraq under false pretenses, and Afghanistan in the "War on Terror", McCain would have stopped at nothing to continue the senseless violence for whatever reason could be dreamed up, no matter the cost.

And don't fool yourselves. The battles going on in the Middle East are bankrupting our Nation. Billions of dollars a day, that will never be recovered.

For what?

Weapons of mass destruction that were never found. You would think that after all the time had passed since we invaded Iraq we would have found something.
