I've never traveled Donner's Pass, but just watched a YT video of the route, IMO that's Childs play ! There's minimal grade to it.
 
I'll never call a grade "child's play."

Underestimating them is what gets you in trouble.
Yep, it’s now so much whether you can get down the grade ok, it’s are you planned to deal with an issue that might pop up around a curve.

Need to be respecting any grade and keeping the brakes cool for the instance in which you might need them to stop the truck on that grade u expectedly.

It isn't the grades. It is the length of some of them and the turns. Yeah it isn't that bad but what hills are if you treat them with respect
Airport always seemed like forever if all you had was a 220, 250, 262, or a detuned Jimmy V8 (I think CFs were somewhere around 265 hp. . . maybe 265s). Heading south, the climb out of Truckee was at least interesting as there were some curves. Before the roadway was upgraded, it was really "interesting."
