That was a messed up video seeing the lights flashing on the ship. They probably have diversity hires doing ship repair in Baltimore. Lots of vehicles including some trucks made it across just in time.

This way the bridge gets rebuilt now, and the litigation will probably eventually result in the shipping company reimbursing the federal government.
I definitely wouldn't want to be trucking up the east coast while all the traffic that usually takes the bridge is now gonna be clogging up the tunnels.

Well look at it this way..
At least he's spending this money on American infrastructure instead of giving it to the money laundering puppet they installed in Ukraine or pampering illegal aliens.
American tax dollars are SUPPOSED to be used for things like this.
That bridge carried I-695 which means it's a federal asset. The feds own the interstates and they typically split the maintenance costs with the states.
Last I knew, they were still trying to determine who actually owns the ship.
Big cargo ships and freighters are so often owned by shell companies that only exist on paper, and they lease the ship to other shell companies specifically to hide from liability in situations like this.
It's possible that the only damages the US government will be able to recover will be the value of the ship. And probably the cargo.
If they let that ship leave US territorial waters, they won't even be able to recover that much.
And since that would be an extremely stupid move, I'm sure Biden will allow it to leave.
