If ya read the article there’s two recalls one for headlights and one for tie rod end clamps which might affect your truck

Be nice if they said which axle. Oh well, if there is a problem they will mail me a letter. I’ve got to carry it in for a service Friday anyhow

If I had to guess it probably has more to do with production dates but that’s just a guess

I figure it would have to do with that and which make and model of axle. If I had to guess it’s probably the standard Detroit steer axle.

It's the legal bs involved with recalls but it's very frustrating when the general public knows about a recall before the dealer does.

90% of recalls are useless. I like them because they drive service business but most are a waste of customers time.

I hated them. They generally never paid the tech squat. Or at least that was my experience. Much like warranty work.

They are ok for the tech as long as they are combined with something else. Quite often now Vehicles will have three or four recalls at once. They can do okay on them because it allows add up to make a decent ro.

I know it’s been awhile now since I worked at a dealer but when I did and they would issue a recall some drivers would immediately come in but all we knew was what was in the press release.
