I don't follow grocery prices like some people do. I've always been the well I need to eat so I'm buying it type of person. But I feel like I'm paying twice what I paid a couple years ago for the same products at Aldi.and the politics around this isn't changing. Just like politicians being on one side of the fence or the other on this, so are people and that isn't going to change.
Now that it is here, it will be interesting to see how those affected react and how everyone is affected.
Even if you don't cross the border, you are going to be affected by this to some extent. some positive, some negative. Overall, I think it will be a net negative. As owner operators, we will likely see overall rates pushed higher. As company drivers, we will continue to see companies out raising pay. As consumers, everything just got a little more expensive and a little harder to get.
Eg I can spend $100 now without trying and I'm not going nuts. I'm pretty sure this same stuff was 50 bucks a couple years ago.
