IF ABS LIGHT IS ON ALL TIME IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE ACTIVE CODE FIRST NEEDS TO CHECK W/COPUTER TO FIND CODE AND FIX. PROBABLY IS WHEEL SPEED SENSOR NEEDS ADJUSTMENT OR REPLACE. IF YOU CAN TAKE FLASH CODE TO FIGURE OUT WHICH CIRCUIT IS DAMAGE.

DEAR PATRICIA LIKE DAYRIPPER SAID COULD BE CLUTCH SWITCH. CHECK IF YOU CAN HEAR CLICK NOISE WHEN START TO DEPRESS CLUTCH IF YOU CAN HEAR CLICK NOISE IT'S OK NO ADJUSTMENT NEEDED BUT IF CAN'T HEAR NOISE JUST YOU NEED TO ADJUST MICROSWITCH TO MAKE CONTACT WITH CLUTCH PEDAL CONTACT ZONE. IF IS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM YES IT USE A FUSE BUT ALSO USE A RELAY.

Oh hush up YOU,LOL.Anyway the mechanic here at the yard looked at it yesterday and he checked the switch with one of those testers.Thers juice going in buy not coming out so hes putting a new jakebrake switch in tomorrow.Ill be taking a load to Salt Lake for monday deliver and told Jason I wont attempt those mountains without jakes.patty more than likly it is in your clutch switch. try checking that first. or just keep ur dam foor off the clutch pedal

By the way. You normally wont get written up for ABS light bein on but you better have noted it in VIR.

If the light is on because you spun the tires it should go away after a given number of key on key off cycles. The exact number varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, I think they do this to be different. If you have been through at least 3 to 5 cycles and the light is still on then there is an issue that will require more in depth diagnostics and repairs.
Sometimes the wheel speed sensors can get fouled with metal filings from the brake drum. They are a simple hall effect sensor which is just a magnet, and pulling the wheels and drum off then blowing the crap off with shop air can fix this problem. Just don't blow the brake dust in your face, it isn't good to breathe that stuff.
And it is also possible that when you got "hung up" you damaged the wire to it and if that is the case it will need to be replaced. The wire cannot be repaired by stripping and splicing, it is "calibrated" and the resistance values will change when it is spliced. Crawl under the truck and see if you can find the wire to the sensor at each wheel and check it for damage. It is possible that the wire got caught on something and it pulled the sensor away from the part of the drum or hub that the sensor "reads" the wheel motion from, so you could possibly push it back into place. They need to be close but not quite touching the tone ring. It should be easy to find, they usually are about the same diameter as a pencil. Remember to set the brake before you get under the truck, we don't want to read about you in the paper.
