That's what I do.
Copy that!
I was wondering if I had enough root now or if it would get bigger over the winter and then cut some next year. I’ll dig it next weekend and let ya know what I get.
That's what I do.
you might want to try make some poppers as well I made up 10 dozen and froze them they work better if you let them partially thaw before you deep fry them.Busy weekend.
I pulled the garden and canned the jalapenos. There were only six jalapeno plants. I already gave one jar away, plus took about five pounds of peppers to work. Six plants.
I can't wait to open up the red jar. That one's going to be good..

just cover the garlic (and surrounding area) with lots of mulch. that's all anyone actually does, and if no mulch available, cover the area with lots and lots of leaves.@Duck ...try planting them not in gravel. They like a little leg room.

I didn't take a picture of that last garlic I pulled and used. It was just one big bulb. No cloves. But the flavor was great.
There are already three coming back up in the pot. I guess I better get those seeds in some dirt before it freezes. It seems odd to me, to plant seeds knowing it's going to freeze hard in the next few months. Maybe I should reserve a few just in case the hard freeze kills the seeds.
yes, plant anytime from today till T-Day weekend. it WILL grow for a short time during the cold weeks, then go dormant for a while then spring time, the plant takes off. you may get shoots from the plant by Christmas time, pushing up thru the mulch or leaves covering.I’ve heard so much about homegrown garlic I wanna try it. So now is the time of year to plant it yes? I’ll have to find some. I’ll check my local farm store they have a lot of seed and root vegetable stuff.
Why not?DO NOT plant garlic from china.
it was tried by a couple of friends of mine. they don't grow, or if they do, the garlic is very small. i think china also uses a chemical to kill off any potential seedings. which actually, the cloves are the seeds. do not forget, in the poop is bacteria, and when it rains, that water gets into the garlic. Why not?
Do not eat garlic grown in China, because it's grown in human poop and stuff, but what's wrong with the seeds?

here, this video speaks of the chemicals, that kill off regrowth.

I gave it a shot and all the cloves turned blue/green from oxidation I think. They were still safe to eat nothing wrong with them, but not very appealing to the eye.so why ain;'t you canning your own it ain't like it is rocket science lol
