2011 Volvo D13 STOP engine fault

I am buying one 2011 D13 just right now with 890,000 miles in it, hope that at least it let me put some money together to have in case of something mayor.

Just plan on spending $25,000+ in the first year on it.

I don't know about that, if you get a Volvo that has been ran & the bugs have been worked out/fixed, then you may be sitting pretty.

I doubt any used truck will have the bugs worked out of it.

Not even one an o/o had traded in. Namely because by the time they've decided to trade it off, they've decided to stop spending any money on fixing it except the absolute must do to keep it legal.

I have a 2011 volvo, D13 engine, I-Shift, and while pulling the trailer uphill, I keep getting the Stop Engine Fault message. Everytime I pull over, I stop the engine, pop the hood and I can see the coolant boiling but the water temperature gauge doesn't go over 200degrees. I had it in 3different Volvo dealerships, they replaced The EGR cooler, they tested the truck but didn't get any error on the computer. They also changed the thermostat. About a month ago I had the water pump replaced, the coolant tank and all the hoses and I have no leak whatsoever. Probably not related, but I also get a message on dashboard saying 'tractor front parking light open circuit' and other Check lights messages. I have no issues when bobtailing. Any ideas on what the problem might be? Thank you.
