I never use the brush at the DIY car washes because back in the day my buddies would spray engine cleaner on the engine and then use the brush to clean the engine.Cancel at the car wash and if they make it impossible like AOL or Amazon Prime, then you cancel via the card company or bank.
I washed the van a few days ago.
Keep in mind this is a rusted out shitbox missing a front fender. I didn't wash it to make it pretty. I washed it because it was covered in salt and transmission fluid.
There isn't a single place on my property where I would want that runoff. But the car wash owner bribes local government to let them discharge into a creek.
I used the manual bay where you do it yourself, because when you have a rusted out shitbox, you can't go willy-nilly with the water nozzles. Gotta aim it just right or you'll get water inside the vehicle.
Anyway I only washed the roof because if I didn't, dirty water would run down across the clean parts.
I used the foamy brush thing, set to "wheel cleaner" for the entire van, and then did the power blast thing with the pressure washer, finally the low pressure rinse using soft water so it won't be covered with minerals like when I use my well water at home.
When it dried, it was way cleaner but still dirty.
And it cost me like $17 to do it too.
In certain modes, the clock runs faster.
Pretty sure the engine cleaner would strip paint.
This one is fully automated it has always been the best around even in the 90's.Annnyway here's what pisses me off.
In the past several years, 4 big fancy car wash places opened up in my area. They've got rows & rows of vacuum cleaner stations for cleaning your interior, but only one wash bay and they're fully automated.
I've never had a fully automated car wash actually get a vehicle clean unless the vehicle was already clean when I entered.
The new owner upgraded everything, and they have the "free vacuums". Not saying I am going to keep this membership though.
There is a DIY wash next door, but I suck at washing cars, it never comes out right for me.
