Life in Sector 7 G.

Cancel at the car wash and if they make it impossible like AOL or Amazon Prime, then you cancel via the card company or bank.

I washed the van a few days ago.

Keep in mind this is a rusted out shitbox missing a front fender. I didn't wash it to make it pretty. I washed it because it was covered in salt and transmission fluid.

There isn't a single place on my property where I would want that runoff. But the car wash owner bribes local government to let them discharge into a creek. 😎

I used the manual bay where you do it yourself, because when you have a rusted out shitbox, you can't go willy-nilly with the water nozzles. Gotta aim it just right or you'll get water inside the vehicle.

Anyway I only washed the roof because if I didn't, dirty water would run down across the clean parts.

I used the foamy brush thing, set to "wheel cleaner" for the entire van, and then did the power blast thing with the pressure washer, finally the low pressure rinse using soft water so it won't be covered with minerals like when I use my well water at home.

When it dried, it was way cleaner but still dirty.

And it cost me like $17 to do it too.

In certain modes, the clock runs faster.
I never use the brush at the DIY car washes because back in the day my buddies would spray engine cleaner on the engine and then use the brush to clean the engine.
Pretty sure the engine cleaner would strip paint.
Annnyway here's what pisses me off.

In the past several years, 4 big fancy car wash places opened up in my area. They've got rows & rows of vacuum cleaner stations for cleaning your interior, but only one wash bay and they're fully automated. 🤬

I've never had a fully automated car wash actually get a vehicle clean unless the vehicle was already clean when I entered.
This one is fully automated it has always been the best around even in the 90's.
The new owner upgraded everything, and they have the "free vacuums". Not saying I am going to keep this membership though.

There is a DIY wash next door, but I suck at washing cars, it never comes out right for me.

It's more sand than salt here. It just ends up a sloppy muddy mess. Other provinces are bad to lay down enough salt to raise the Titanic. I've seen them do it even when it was above freezing almost as if they have a use it or lose it kind of budget.
That's why I hate trailers in the yard that come from out west or northern Ontario, they use sand and the trailer is a muddy mess at the back and the door handles.
I know the trailers are not from Winnipeg because they don't use anything at all. Plowing? Fuggetaboutit!

So...
A German man walks into a McDonald's and orders a beer.
The Canadian behind him starts laughing, hysterical laughing. When he catches his breath he says, you can't order beer in a McDonald's in Canada.

Then the German starts laughing and he is doubled over from laughing.

When the German stops laughing, He says so...you actually come here for the food? :biglaugh:

I got Moms doggo here (Cisco). She went to Costa Rica.

The doggo was pretty funny, I was getting dizzy watching him circle around multiple times, orientating himself with where his food and water dish is.

I brought his bed, but he would not sleep on it until I put him there and turned off the nearest light.
He has settled in and is sleeping like a bear now.

I bought some legal weed today for the first time ever. (Legally, I have bought weed before the "A Guy".)

I may smoke it or I may not. :dunno:

Cool, to go into the store and they ask, what are you looking for?
Me, well, I haven't smoked weed in 23 plus years, but I am looking for something to chill out and watch the Simpsons.

They recommend a low THC Sativa strain.

Sounds good to me.

If I do choose to smoke it, I wonder if I have enough potato chips and snacks. 🤔

Indica is the "chill out & turn the brain off" strain.

Sativa is the "I think I should build a crane out of wood to lift an empty cardboard box up and down" strain.

@Rigjockey So if it is legal in Canada how does that work on a random drug test?

So what is the procedure if you are suspected of being under the influence at work?I’m just curious how WM handles that in Canada. Knowing how anal the are here in the States.
I am not sure, I have never heard of anyone running into that problem.
Walmart Fleet was different from us. We are part of logistics.
Fleet was sold off to Canada Cartage nation wide. they may do randoms because I think they run into the U.S.

I worked a few places out there that went cross border. They did randoms. I also worked at places that did nothing but local. They didn't even do it coming on board much less randoms. I think certain things like mining camp jobs will do it when you start I've seen from job ads but I don't think most places do that.

One of the best tow and float operators I saw smoked pot every day but it was pretty clear he wasn't high at work. I had a bit of an incident moving a machine a few years ago. I wasn't tested. It's not really something I have come across either.

I hate the weather "persons". Only a small chance of rain not lasting long. That was yesterday. Today, not going to rain until late at night.
I have been working in steady rain for two MF'n days!
You persons suck at your job!

The only weather persons that seem to be good at their job is California weather persons.
Yup, going to be hot and sunny for the next ten years!
