Duck Pond Redneckery

New problem.

She's wide awake and wants to go walk around the yard but I'm tired as **** because I didn't get much sleep last night. 😩

Maybe I'll go get me a red bull or something. 🤔

find a rambunctious 2 year old.

all they ever say is NO..!!

they will walk and walk till thier feet fall off, and you can sleep for hours on end.

He was drunk.

In fact that's why he was here. He was fishing at the state line bridge and decided he was too drunk to ride home into the suburban jungle where he lives but it's all back roads to my place so he came here instead.
that's good, that he did not chance fate.

Other vehicles like motorcycles, boats, ATVs, diesel locomotives and jet airliners can be safely operated by drunk people. 😎
Till they crash them. Then all of the acronym government entities come out of the woodwork like termites.

You condone drunk driving?
what duck says below.....

besides, had he had an accident, as duck said, the guy was on the back roads. NO, i do not condone drunk driving, but he may have not fully realized how inebriated he was, thinking he could make it home, and by the time he realized, he was part of the way there to ducks house..

did you changed that headlight like i told you to..???
Drunk motorcycle riding. It's totally different.

It's only dangerous to drive cars and trucks while drunk.

that's right. drunkard riders and operators of the above items are safer when on the back roads, and can only crash into a tree, boulder, farm fencing, or a duck blind.

no harm.

We went to the state park today and went hiking. We even climbed down a rocky trail, a 30 foot descent over about 150 feet of trail. Then after a break, we went back up.

No walker. Just me holding onto the gait belt so she wouldn't fall.

Balance was the only thing I had to help her with. That and telling her where to put each foot when we were climbing.

Total distance from the van, across the suspension bridge and down the dirt/rock/tree root path then over the rocky creek bed and back, maybe less than half a mile I'm guessing, but before we climbed back up that rocky part of the trail, we watched several people do it and they were helping each other. Some guy was helping his perfectly healthy and fit looking teenage girlfriend up it. So I was a little nervous about how I was going to get Sarah back up it but she did good.

I'm damn proud of her.

She's not even tired. She's still up watching TV.

I brought the blood pressure thing and kept checking her every time we took a break and it was hanging around 97/55 and her pulse around 65-70 which is low, but cardiologists said that as long as she doesn't have any lightheaded or dizziness, she's fine.

They'd probably be pissed if they knew what we were doing though. 🤣

take a video, and slam it into the face of the therapist who gave up on your wife.

tell her, McDonalds has a hiring bonus, all the french fries on the floor she can eat.

It wasn't the therapists who gave up on her. It was this doctor:

She's in charge of the rehab program at the Kankakee hospital.

I've actually never seen the lower half of her face because the covid mask. The mask she wears is a black cloth cone shaped thing that makes her look a little bit like a rottweiler.

Sarah has an appointment with her for "rehab followup" in October.

That's when I'll inform her that Sarah didn't fail the program. SHE failed Sarah, failed to catch the medication error when they were specifically looking for the cause of the unexpected decline a week into the program.

She ordered a whole heaping shitload of labs and a CT scan of her brain - didn't think to look over the medication list provided by the Chicago hospital.

That will be entertaining. 🤣

Hopefully Sarah doesn't punch her in the face. 😬

We're at her bank on Frankfort disputing fraud charges on her account. It's inside a Jewel grocery store. Tornado sirens went off and they've corralled everyone in the back of the store. 🙄
