Timmerman RA?Hauled the 345 home today. Was able to leave the bucket on this time because we traveled higher rated roads.View attachment 80426
No but we went by it earlier. Coldwater.Timmerman RA?
Is a 950 wide? You can get it out of Texas no problem, but I’m not sure they “allow” it. If you stick to US Highways you are fine in Oklahoma. That 90k is not good for the interstates. And I have no clue on Colorado. I suggest calling the os/ow office of each state.@Humble pie , or anyone else with experience between TX and Idaho, I am looking at a 950K in Texas that has a quick coupler and comes with a bucket and forks. My gross would probably be around 85K, 7 axles, will have to get oversize permits.
My cab card shows 80k for TX, 90k for OK, 80K for CO. I am good in WY with just an oversize and I am good in ID with my excess weight permit and annual.
My question is:
Am I going to have to ship the forks or bucket separately because of load being divisible, or can I get away with hauling both together in TX, OK, and CO?
Yeah, even without the bucket it is 8'11" at the tires. On a 938 that we have rented I'll put the bucket on the back and attach the forks. Then it is legal width and with it I am not overweight. Is a 950 wide? You can get it out of Texas no problem, but I’m not sure they “allow” it. If you stick to US Highways you are fine in Oklahoma. I’m thinking you are going have to send another truck to be legal.
I’d just load it and haul assYeah, even without the bucket it is 8'11" at the tires. On a 938 that we have rented I'll put the bucket on the back and attach the forks. Then it is legal width and with it I am not overweight.
I may just set the bucket on the forks and tie it all together and hope for the best. Dang shame to have to take a pickup and trailer all the way down just to get the forks.
Thanks!
Edit to add: I think I remember how to get to Wyoming without crossing scales in Colorado.
Thing is, the violation would be quite visible, unlike weight.I’d just load it and haul ass
Here's how I try to hide ours. But then, I dont cross any scales.......@Humble pie , or anyone else with experience between TX and Idaho, I am looking at a 950K in Texas that has a quick coupler and comes with a bucket and forks. 1400 miles is a long night!Sounds like a night move.
You got that right.1400 miles is a long night!
AT night not necessarily in ONE night. Man oh man oh man do I gotta think of everything?1400 miles is a long night!
No, but it's more than the early 950s I hauled in 1978!! I will be hauling ours on Monday. I'm just wondering if a guy could disassemble the forks, lay them on the deck, and set the bucket in the dumped position over the assembly??? I'll take some measurements Monday. You probably don't know what it weighs do you? I was guessing at 42-43.
I certainly don't need the tag axle on the tractor for this. I could take the other truck which is lighter, but I doubt I could get under 80k.No, but it's more than the early 950s I hauled in 1978!!
