They got a new one fer ya @krelithous - the robo call goes straight to voicemail without activating the ringer.

I've been thinking about changing Sarah's number.
Damn thing rings 20 times a day, always foreign accents saying she just won something but has to pay a fee to collect it, or those people who say they're Microsoft and your computer has a virus and they need remote access to fix it.
She always argues with them.
Last week the "you won a free vacation" idiots called and she was in the bathroom so I answered it and simply made retarded noises into the phone. They hung up and haven't called back since.

I played dumb and went along with it, using my desktop (which is kept offline) to follow the instructions so I read back what's on the screen and make him think I was falling for the scam. But I kept asking dumb questions to screw with him and try his patience..
When it got to the point where one more step would've granted him access had it actually been connected to the internet, I stopped and said "ok" and he
- LMAO they're trying this scam on her RIGHT NOW AS I TYPE THIS
Anyway I said I did whatever it was he said to do and because it didn't work he was trying to get me to backtrack so he could figure out what I did wrong, I let him struggle with that for a bit then I said "maybe it's because I don't have Internet access in this house, could that be the problem?"

If I get her a smart phone I'll have to share data with her.
And fix viruses on it... And explain things, and answer stupid questions,... And...
No. If she wants a smartphone she can pay for it herself.
