I've been in the brooks. It's not that cold. Ocean is a bit of a different story but I would probably do that too.

If there's a 20 foot deep swimming hole in that type of location, where the geology appears to be karst, there are probably underwater passageways one can potentially get sucked into if there is a current flow into them.
I'd be careful, unless it's a place where the locals have been swimming for generations with no issues.

Most all the rivers are rocky bottom here and there are far more rocky beaches than sandy ones. You don't go in without some kind of hard soled water shoe if you've got half a brain.
The whole island is rock hence the nickname the rock. You'll even see a lot of the power poles they build boxes and fill them full of holders to hold the poles up because you can't auger through it like they would in dirt. When we were driving in the pointed 2x4s for yard signs during the election sometimes you'd have to try several spots before you found one you could pound them in even a little bit.

It doesn't really. There were still pretty big icebergs around as of a couple weeks ago. I haven't been to any of the known spots for them in a while but they're probably not far. People do get in the ocean once it's hot though. I've waded in it pretty recently. Doesn't seem like anything I couldn't tolerate as long as the air was hot enough.

I go on "Hiatus" for awhile but still here too.
As for a "Low Tires" sensor why is that so computerly integrated in vehicles today..
Look get out everyday bat your tires..
If "Unsure" take a Tire Guage if low dont mind holding up the Fuel Island afew minutes tell the guy honking at ya eh my tires low fill em and go about ya buisness

I wanna take this "Mass -Computerization" of "Every-Thing"a step further..
Used to be back in the day afew "Handyman" skills made ya a "Hero" with your friends and Family.
Today everything is Computer chipped and "Sensors"..
Today people even depend upon Computer Apps lock unlock their house doors , check the refridgerator , even turn on/off the lights..
Look older stuff ya could fix by yourself, remember where ya keys are, & shut off the lights when ya go 2 Bed
Todays People dont even know many dont even "Remember" those days they so young..
Forget Big Government ya need 2 "GUT" Sillicon Valley or "Big Tech"..
Eh we are in a "Crisis" here too "Humanity" or Computer Apps and Sensors

I wanna add somthing else ya $$$..
Many services or subscribtion demand "Auto-Pay" linked 2 a Bank Account or Credit Card number...
NOW ya "Unhappy" with the "Service" or found a "Compeditor" offering better..
See they already got ya locked-in a monthly "Direct Deposit " every month and if unhappy like pulling teeth get outta it.
Gyms for example okay ya feel fat sign up training workout classes..
That used 2 be a "Monthly Fee" if ya flunked just stop going and mailing checks 4 Dues..
Today its all "Auto-Pay" even $ell that as a "Discount" too..
Even sadder a vast "Majority" of People sign up 4 everything "Auto-Pay'.. .
Again ya can "'Cancel" and pain in the "@$$" too..
If people would stop entering "Auto-Payments" service would be alotta better too
