Yup. Still here.

I believe it. Mine is so old it's an 88ci with a 5 speed. I know a117 is fairly common now and I know that they do make a 131 and 135 now. I probably ride faster than a lot of people but I've been out with guys that are a lot crazier than me too. II have ridden faster bikes but I lack the crotch rocket rider level of stupidity so I don't necessarily have to have the fastest thing on the road. Even more so with the amount of craters and "moose eye" we have on the roads here.
Yeah I remember the 88 embossed on one of his bikes but don't remember which one.

The power to weight ratio is pretty nuts regardless.

Doesn't matter what bike it is, that much HP per lb is a lot to have between your legs. Must be how hung dudes feel. 😀

A lot people chirp on how slow Harleys are. I think a lot of that comes from the bad (not completely unjust) rep they get because of the ignorant twats that do stuff like sit and rev at red lights for no reason.

It's annoying when they do that but to be fair sport bikes also rev the engine at stop lights. I know because there is a stop light on the road outside my window.
Sometimes I will throw the window open and yell, do you know how to ride that thing or just rev the engine?
Being as I am in the city, I doubt some of them need to or have the ability to shift out of first gear.
I have seen a guy test driving a sports bike that he could not get out of first gear. If you red line that bike in first gear one could reach the speed limit in the city. Right?

Come think of it I've seen lots of bikes but yet to see a sport bike around here. There's plenty of skeets in Honda Civics with windshield stickers so the demographic is there. I dunno why it is.

I'm too short to put my feet down at red lights so if I ever get a bike it'll be one of those trike things you can't lean but have a trunk and is made for geriatrics the way my Buick was.
Do you have a Honda dealer in the area? Maybe you can go sit on one in the showroom.

This seat looks very low.

I just ran the NM4 through the Googler. The picture makes it look like a Vespa scooter. No Vespa has a 700+ cc engine on it. Big difference between that and a full dressed diesel bike.

I don't know anything about it yet other than the low seat height.

EC shouldn't have to be bikeless or suffer the indignity of riding around on a Vespa scooter just because he's vertically challenged.

The one in the ad I posted is just something my dad sent me. I wasn't suggesting he road trip to Peru, IL to buy that actual bike.

No, I thought it was a Vespa style scooter by the looks of it. That's why I looked it up to see what it actually is.

I still wouldn't get on it.

I think the orange one in the ad I posted looks cool actually..

So I did an image search and found one with a person on it, and yes it does have that Vespa vibe to it..

The orange one in the ad looks like it has a better windshield on it. And that ridiculous add-on trunk makes it look taller too.

In the picture below, the rider is going to get blasted in the face by rain, bugs, etc because of the stupid low windshield.

But EC is only 5 ft tall, so he'd probably make the bike look bigger and more proportionate to a 6 ft guy on a bagger.

I dunno... Like I said, I was just trying to point out that they do make a few bikes with a low enough seat height for EC.

@Sinister is like 5'7" or 5'8" and he rides a KLM650, one of those street legal dirt bikes. That type of bike, due to needing a lot of suspension travel, tend to be so tall a 6 foot average height man is on his tippy toes or leaning to the side when he's stopped. I don't know how Sinister does it. But he does.

I gave up riding bikes when I was about 20 or so. I started to think it was the only way I could meet pretty girls, or that I was destined to be with a nurse the rest of my life. I woke up in the hospital 5 times before I gave up. Two head-ons, two rear ends and one broadside. The sixth may just be a complete mow down.

Oddly, I've been with a dental hygienist for nearly 40 years.

I'm 5'6" and I got a KLR 650s.

The S model has a 2" lower seat height so normal people can sit on them and not need to have giraffe legs like @Hammer166.

The front of that kind of puts you in the mind of a sport bike but the box screams adventure bike. It's definitely not one I'm used to seeing very many of. Do you do a lot of off road with it or did you just like the bike?

Can't even get a public washroom most places. In Newfoundland they build them on the side of the street for you. No hole in the ground either, proper running water sink and toilet God love em.c1a075d3-bf54-4958-b3f0-d24842fd05f6.webpec0f7aa0-9e5d-41fc-a451-b1d50d1ee521.webp1a464f56-137b-498a-ba04-807d095625f3.webp

We brought our rods but didn't think to bring shorts today. This is by my in laws place. Our kids have been in there in summers before. You can jump in off those ledges past the wooden platforms and the water is about 20 feet deep. IMG_20250622_185802063_HDR.webp

This is the gang's daily swimming hole about two miles from my front door. Our oldest is always running with a crew of four or five swimming fishing building or trying to burn the woods down. You know stuff kids are supposed to do. IMG_20250619_161510586_HDR.webpIMG_20250619_161403702_HDR.webpIMG_20250619_161338383_HDR.webp
