I been reading these forums and other trucking forums about 4-5 times a week, and i saw a post about this guy saying something about its not for everybody but its a good career if you can hang in there. I dont know if this is me or not but it seems like 69% of the things i read is negative towards trucking. I dont know if these trucking forums are filled with drivers that wine like babies or just not satisfied with their job. I really want to start trucking but sometimes i question that desision about getting into the industry from reading the forums all the time, can someone shed some light on this topic please?

I get bored easy too. When I am on the road in the springtime.I bring my lawnchair, park by grass and my dog and I sit outside.Or if i'm at the cust waiting,my dog and I will go for a nice walk.Beats the heck out of sitting in the truck all the time.

My dog and I do the same thing. In the summer one of our favorite stops is the rest area in Ft Steel, Wy

When i get bored, i like to light a bunch of candles, then play with myself and try to shoot them out. Never invite me to a birthday party. :wtf:

I hate it...but is all I know how to do.

I don't hate it by any means, but don't want to make it a lifetime goal. I got into it when I went under with the company I owned. First two years over the road were as exciting as I could imagine. I took pictures everywhere, explored, rode my mountain biker everywhere, and all-in-all had a blast. But I am single w/no dependants. I don't see how anyone in a relationship could do it (OTR). I also think if you are an introvert it helps a lot too.

Fortunately, now I am home all the time with my company, but still get to explore some new, and pretty cool, places every once in a while.

OH, and stop smoking B4 you go on the road, otherwise it is easy to develop a 2 pack a day habit (which I am having one hell of a time dropping).

TRUE THAT. I HAVE EVEN TURNED INTO A TWO PLAYER GAME. ITS FUN TO WATCH WOMEN TRY THIS OUT. ONLY BAD PART THERE IS WHEN THEY TRY TO INSERT A QUARTER FOR ANOTHER SHOT.

DON'T ENCOURAGE HIM. LOL

Oh yeah, any newbies want to watch out for this kind of behavior.....comes from sitting alone too much!

Hope U guys close your curtains!

I like WY in the summer that is you'll never have to worry about not finding a parking place no matter what time of the day or nite it is.But hate it in the Winter.Way too cold and windy.I don't know what's colder Canada or Wy.
