I don't even go out any more . I won't even eat out . My whole world has been turned upside down and I did absolutely nothing wrong . Gonna lose my house over this if I don't get back to work soon . I could deal with loosing if it was my fault but trying to have a bit of a social life does not warrant this bull that I'm going through. Even you example does not remove a license but requires a driving test.

What you do on you time is on you. However dopers loose capacity well beyond any "high" feeling. Drunks as well but the body metabolizes it to quickly to prosecute.

I firmly believe 30% of you people do not belong on my road. The faster we remove that 30% the less traffic I have to deal with.

You're forgetting about the 'naturally stupid' drivers on the road. (That should count to about 89% traffic)

I have advocated a simple cognitive ability test for years. Problem people will pass when they have too, but then quickly shove their head back in their ass phone, coffee, newspaper, twatface etc etc etc.

I guess you're not familiar with functioning addicts or alcoholics. Barbiturates aren't even tested for. It's a joke. Where do we draw the line though? Texters, phone users, GPS, radio, CB etc etc can and do cause distracted situations that are just as deadly as a the inebriated driver. Fuck it...let's just kill them all!

BTW, I don't know if you're insinuating I'm one of "you people" as mentioned above. I certainly hope not. I believe in freedom and these things are blatant intrusions on our lives as they're being handled now.

Actually I have this paint ball marker idea no one else likes. We mark them with a color for their offense. Red for texters, yellow for dopers, blie for general jack offs...........you get the idea.

Once they are completely covered they have to stop for a few minutes at least.

Not killing them for drinking. Get out on the road drunk and I figure they are suicidal so we should assist the process to save civilian casualties.

I have no sympathy for anyone that would purposely incapacitate themselves and then get out here risking others lives. This country is way to soft on people that are convicted of DUI.

Ok I misunderstood, that statement I can agree with. I think the Justice system is way to LAX on a lot of things.

This took some twist and turns didn't it ? LOL
I only drink when I am on home time , been caught in a tornado so learned early on I always want my wits about me while on the road . That was during my rookie years so it has stuck with me .
But anyway alcoholic behind the wheel and INTENTIONAL drug use are really different from the moral of my story . Fact is because of the ease at which people can get their hands on THC products that can be mixed into ANYTHING , just ask the police chief who ate the THC infused cupcake from Ohio( think it was Ohio ) . As drivers you need to be aware and I hate to say this but YOU need to be aware and YOU need to be proactive. For example the most common side effect is misperceived food poisoning, therefore WHENEVER YOU experience anything like food poisoning you have to go to hospital and report you may have been poisoned . Then if the test finds THC in your system YOU NEED TO MAKE A POLICE REPORT then immediately report the findings to your safety department so they can take action to protect you from the government. As long as these steps are taken , DOT CANNOT HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF A CRIMINAL. Basically you have to be proactive as a victim,even if it was your dumb cousin ,Billie, idea of a prank for example.

@RamblingPete if you worked for a company that didn't do hair follicle testing this probably would of been a non-issue as far as your job is concerned. Something like that would of likely been out of your urine in 2-3 days.

I don't agree with hair follicle tests as you could walk into a room by mistake where someone could of been vaping cannabis oil and it would show up. But I also see the upside to a hair test that it is far more sensitive.

However. Not being able to appeal/defend yourself and have this positive stricken from your record is complete and utter horse hockey. Only 4 companies in the trucking industry advocate hair testing. Odd they are also the ones in the ATA pockets and big proponents for higher regulations on an already over regulated industry.

Yes. My own randoms over the years. Can't count how many times the clubhouse was filled with enough pot smoke to give an elephant a contact high. I have never tested positive for anything on a drug test.

Hmm..ok, I don't worry about it because I have never worked at a place that does hair testing, I did know it won't effect your urine. I'll have to take your word for it on the hair testing. I know you worked for one of the big 4 that do it.

The OPs example is why most people are against drug testing but there is a cutoff for the drugs they do happen to test for. Second hand exposure to marijuana smoke would never fail you. For EMIT urinalysis, the standard cutoff is 50ng. If it's below that the test stops. If it's above that, a second test (GCMS urinalysis) is issued and the number must be above 15ng to confirm a positive. As you can see a certain amount of leeway is already in place for certain circumstances.

For hair follicle testing this number is completely NOT even close to what the OP mentions above as it's measured on a completely different scale. He talks about urine testing numbers not hair follicle testing numbers. I wonder if he actually knows what test he took?

If a driver wants to smoke a joint on Friday when they get home, It is no ones damned bidness!

If drug testing for usage is so damned important, Why is okay do snort lines on the weekend and not get popped on tuesday, but smoking weed six weeks before will get you popped?

It makes no sense!
The whole drug testing system is way out of wack
