Basicly the lunch box oven is a square crock pot. So what ever you can do in a crock pot you can do in the lunch box oven. For crock pit ideas.
I am a new trucking recruter. Most of my trucks have 110 outlets.
Do you all have a recommendation of foods. I writing down crock pot and lunch box heater.
Is there a place I can find quick, easy, and cheap ideas for my drivers?
(Most of my drivers are right out of school so I would like to have a "go to" cheat sheet for them)

One thing I did learn from trucking for my 10 year stint is that very little has to be refrigerated

Just type 'lunchbox' into the search box in the upper right corner and the results will return several relevant threads.
I've been dedicated in one form or another for several years now and I stock my fridge for the week.
One of the things we've been doing for years is cooking in quantity which has become something of a trend.
You may have heard of things like 'cook for a day, eat for a week'.
We take it well beyond that by jarring stuff like soup, stew, chili, beans, etc in wide mouth pint mason jars while it's piping hot but instead of canning it properly for room temperature storage we simply put it in the fridge.
It lasts for weeks n weeks.
It's nice to have a variety of choices on hand for heat n eat meals since we're empty nesters with erratic schedules.
Right now there is roast with taters n carrots, beef stew, hamburger soup, chicken n noodles, navy beans...
and probably something else I'm not recalling.
It wouldn't be a good choice for offering left-overs to your people because even though the jars are only around a buck each people act like they're $10. Just something about getting your jars back!
We had a friend who would give us homemade apple butter & jelly but remind us every week or two to return the jars.
It might take us 6 months to use up the goodies so I just started taking her jars to 'trade'.
Anyway, another thing that makes it a good choice is being able to eat healthier since all canned goods and much frozen are so heavily processed. All this stuff taste like you just made it when opening a jar. I like it much better than frozen.
Its a great way to cook in the truck. Wipe it out afterwards with a paper towel, put a little water in it, and you have a basin to wash up everything.
Skillet corn bread? Yum!![]()

I take a Healthy Choice or similar frozen meal, pop the entire box in my cooker, and let it slowly heat up the meal while I'm working.
Of course it only works since I'm local. I can grab a whole pile on sale and take a new one from the freezer every day. It's as good as fresh when you slow heat. Microwaves are what really kills them.
Best part is they're easy cleanup. I slide the tray and plasticware in the box and toss the whole thing. No dishes whatsoever.

you look to be a good judge of characterI told some of my drivers about this today! You may be a pain in the ass, but you are useful!![]()
Excellent!BTW, tonight's dinner is "poor man's meal" (It's like Shepards Pie)
Home made mashed potatoes (I use baby reds)
hamburgers grilled
sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheese
Sauteed onions, peppers, and mushrooms
topped with brown gravy
Cooked in oven at 350* for 20 minutes to make sure everything is hot! 10x better the next day
