Just curious. Never noticed them before, and seen 5-6 today total on 3 trains. All looked brand new, one with placards

I was wondering the same thing. I saw my first one last week at the Sam’s D.C. in Canton Oh.
Probably wouldn't have thought anything about it other than the fact that they all looked new. They were the only clean cans on the train.

They've been running them between Elwood port and our Hammond cross dock probably a couple years now.

They asked for some volunteers and like with everything else a few people wanted to feel special in a company of 2.5 million people so last I knew it was the same guys running them back and forth.

Couple guys out of Spring Valley, IL last I knew.

I haven't seen any yet, but I haven't been looking either.
I would think this would work out great for Walmart Canada for cross border shipments.
From the rail to the Nearest DC is about 30-45 miles depending on what rail yard CP or CN.
