D 11, D13 - D16 DPF Delete kit.
Anyone had any experiences with them?
Looking at the ones by the OTR folks.

OK so I'm going to put it out there, modifying emission components is illegal. It is frowned upon to discuss such matters as well.

That being said, I have never heard of delete kits for these engines.

the OP must have money to throw around since there can be huge fines as well if they catch him!!!

oh yea and a SHOP won't work on an engine that's been tampered with!!!

Well, that can be true, but there are many dealer shops that will work on a emissions deleted truck but you will not like the bill when they are done. They are required to restore the emissions stuff to the truck at the owner's expense. Imagine that bill when they are done! And there is a definite risk that you could be reported to EPA. Not sure about the latter, as the dealer will probably just be content to take your money for the job alone. There might be an occasional dealer shop that will turn a blind eye to emissions delete, but they are very rare.

It is simple. You delete the stuff, and you can kiss your warranty goodbye and never see a dealer shop ever again. Not a bad proposition if you are Mr. Moneybags, but most folks are not in that league.

We've been through this in another thread. This is incorrect information. There is no such regulation or law. It's very possible this is a manufacturer's dealer shop policy, but it is not law. No shop is allowed to do work on a vehicle that has not been authorized by the owner and no shop is allowed to hold a vehicle for any reason other than failure to pay the bill.

The shop may refuse the work. The shop may have its own policy that all vehicles must be compliant before other work is done. But they don't have any authorization to force repairs on a customer or confiscate noncompliant vehicles.

Not directly, but the problem is that if a modified truck comes out of a manufacturer's shop after repairs unrelated to the delete and is then busted, the shop may have to defend itself from charges that they did the delete.

It's about how much liability the shop wants to risk.

And that's why the shop has right of refusal.

my dealer flat out refuses to work on anything that the emissions has been tampered with!!! not to mention you'll fuck up your warranty...

As of now i drive 2015 vnl780 D13 Ishift. And i just got offer to install def dpf egr dellete kit for 3200$. No one will ever notice that it has been deleted.
But after i start having problems with my Def i took it to a Volvo for repair.. SRC Unit Def Fillter Cleaning and all that crap cost me 6700$.. my engine derated and i went under a truck and disconnect speed sensor.. I was able to drive 59mph till i reach diler.
I chose not to play with delete kit for one reason If i ever wanna sell truck i will have to buy new filter and def unit.. and we all know how expensive that can be..
DELETE KIT IS AVAILABLE but is it Smart to get. Its up to u

What?
Keep the old parts you take off. Sell the truck offer the buyer the old parts. Or put them back on and sell the truck. You don't need to be a rocket appliance for this, if you can take it off you can reinstall it

Probably not a Volvo Dealer but an Independant truck repair shop would probably turn a blind eye and be thankful for your buisness
