Update on Luna..

Sad that she's left us, but, kinda' glad she isn't suffering any longer. I had a lot of hope riding on her recovery and was praying for miracles. She will be missed in a big way.

Me too.

Shortly after I bounced in the door here at TruckersForum my brother was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer. All through the end of life process for us, Lunachic was a solid pal who checked up on us frequently. She gave me much encouragement and I could feel her concerns. My biggest regret is that there was no way to repay that kindness, in turn, to her.

Sure there is.
Pay it forward.

Bless her soul and may her family find peace and comfort.

It's difficult to memorialize a cyber friend who's passed. Good job with the "LunaAngel" avatar Mr. Duckie.

Tn. Truckers Wife keep watching Luna's FB page for when they post funeral info. Someone might be in the area and can attend. Doesn't "pop" live in FL?

I have to go to my friend's mom's wake tomorrow. She died on Black Friday, same thing. Cancer.

TTW..did you by chance see the picture of Luna where she wore the beenie? I guess her hair was gone due to chemo..But her face is so full of hope and life..it was my favorite pic. I canot find it on her wall..

No I didn't see it...The one I posted here was the only picture that I ever saw of her....

There were a whole bunch of threads started about Lunachic back in October & November 2011. I knew they'd eventually get lost & separated so I was posting links in each thread to keep them kind of grouped together. It would be nearly impossible to find all of those threads because Lunachic was a member here with a lot of posts, so search results would have included too many results. Here's a link to the post in this thread with links to all of the others. I just went through all of those threads editing my old posts to update those links because Mike has made changes to the forum since then and all of those links were broken. The old URLs did include the thread numbers, so I was able to translate the old URL's enough to get "showthread.php" to re-direct me to them so I can get the full URLs. (I'll explain how I did the translation in the Site comments & help section later today) Most of them are in the "Truckers Family and Friends" section but a couple of them were in the "Layover Tavern".

The way the forum currently writes it's page URLs, I can move the ones in the Layover Tavern to the "Family & Friends" section without breaking the links. I might do that, just to have them all in the same section to make them easier to find if I need to fix broken links again in a few months when Mike upgrades the forum to a version that's going to be released soon.

I clicked like. Not that I like this but I like what you said Racer. I think many people die of a broken heart. Sad to lose the one that shared a lifetime, A person that knows you inside and a person that gets you. I pray God smiles upon them in the after life and re-unites them. Godbless.

My mom's parents married right after high school. They were together "til death did they part", spent an entire lifetime together, raised 6 kids. After my grandma passed away my grandpa followed shortly after.
