Truck stop etiquette

Just pigs bein pigs...

Aint their responsibility to clean up the mess... so they aint gotta care
The Employee who spends his days collecting the trash n pressure washing the parking lot doesn't mind..

Heck if I was that guy Id be praying for more slobs to get "overtime" pay...

Nonetheless the Truckstop owner has to Pay that guy plus his Waste Management bill is "inflated" for all the xtrra

Generally speaking, I will never go in a mega-stop, for the very reason the OP states. But if you have too, look at the fuel island on the way in and if you can, get behind a local driver. In almost all instances, he wants to get his fuel, DEF and receipt and get out. He/she is not going to dawdle around.

If you scan the area, you will almost always find a mom-N-pop fuel stop near the megas and the price will usually be 20-30 cents lower per gallon. The locals know them and the stops are usually clean.

You drive through a Love's, Crooked Hook, T/A and the parking lot is full of trash with trash barrels sitting right there next to the trash. Looking at the grossly fat slobs that roll out of these trucks will tell you that they are too lazy to get out and put their trash in the receptacle. It's easier and requires no energy to simply drop it out the window for some other person to pick up.

Gone are the days of the Professional Driver. This new breed out here are a scary lot.

Afew jobs ago they had the NATSC Card and it doesn't even work at PeeLot or Loves so ya got to know the AmBests and Roadys 2 lanes kinda joints...

Now they were accepted at TA/Petro and the Kwik-Trip/Kwik-Star "same company" but 4 Midwest states if ya can call that a "Chain"..

My current employer "prefers" Pee-Lot/FlyJ cause of "discount"... and they got some deal with Sapp Bros

Basically I try to buy the Vast Majority of my fuel at Pee-Lot/Fly J so accounting ain't "B-Word" at me..

Since I generally double up my Pre-Trip and Fuel which is "Legal" and they want ya to buy it there too...

Welp @Finns I'm parking at more Peelots and FlyJ than I used too
