thoughts on Obama's screwups

i am watching the news today and was thinging of all the screwups that "the one " has made since elected

Health care is a disaster

the economy is a wreak

Border security is non existent- to the extent that some U.S. land is no off limits because the Mexicans are claiming it for their own

with the Mccrystal issue today it looks like the armed services are starting to disown him

new housing down 33% last month so much for stimulus

the oil spill is a lead weight around his neck- do to being ignored for a month

there is so much that has happened since his election my mind is on overload trying to process it all, feel free to add to the list lets figure out just all that he has done.

quite honestly I can not come up with ONE good thing he has done for my country, and it looks like it is all coming to a head, even the states are starting to say to hell with the feds, a great example is the Arizonia issue and the way more and more states are taking it into their own hands to fix the illegal problem.

well since posting this mccrystal is out, heard something about Blowbama asking for emergency funding to take care of the foreward base that the Mexican drug lords have set up in Arizona.

Seem the Mexicans have sent in lookouts that have set up on the high ground to collect intelligence on the movements of the border patrol's movements this sure sounds like a military style setup, perhaps the idiot in cheif should look at our military to take care of this after it is going from someone sneaking across the border to an army run by the drug cartels invading our nation, and isn't that what our armies were formed for in the first place?? To protect American citizens from foreign invasion???

And people will still do nothing, But I have to say alot of you don't live in a border state, And it's been sucking for along time. And we never could understand how it was allowed. And DON'T LIKE IT.........And it really only came to the attention of alot of you with the problems with the Industry.
Cross Border Trucks.............
And to be fair I live in North Florida so either South Florida mentality is different or they just gave up. I try to be someone what open mined and install that into my son. You want to live you have to work so you have to keep things to yourself. Now we have a chance to stop it close the borders and maybe change the ocean/land law by the vote of the people and the right politicians in office.
I think the economy is slipping again more and more higher end homes have been showing up on repo list in this area, Those who have hung on during the past 3 years r starting to fall.
I don't know how much lower we can go, We have friends and family who the spill has distroyed more so then what last few years have done and will not take any help from the Gov. Just because..............
Heath care.......it seems the same....people who have the money to see a dr. go those who don't have the money don't go.
I alway's felt being in the service should have know bearing on your political views as long as .........I can think of a bunch of reasons and then that right makes know sence, So I'm confused on that one..........

One thing he's done that, in my mind, is really great, and, noteworthy.... He has awakened a sleeping giant. It's been a long, long time since we've had a POTUS who has brought such unity to the Conservatives. I guess Regan was the last one to promote such solidarity amongst right-wingers.

Giving credit where credit is due...

You really can't give him credit for all of this.

the economy is a wreak

The economy was in the toilet a year before he was elected, and the previous administration handed out the first round of billions in monetary bailouts. As far as blame for the current economic crisis, look to the Wall Street jerks who handed out bad mortgages and then bet on them to fail, pocketing billions.

Border security is non existent- to the extent that some U.S. land is no off limits because the Mexicans are claiming it for their own

The border security issue has been around for many more years than he has been in office. Mexicans, Guatemalans and others from Central and South America have been flooding across our Southern border as long as I can remember. The Chinese have been sneaking into our country in shipping containers since the 1970's. And has anybody tried to count all the millions of other people who have overstayed their visas and have been living here illegally?

new housing down 33% last month so much for stimulus

Down after a slight rebound. The double dip recession is just beginning my friend. Have you been saving all you can? High unemployment will be making a comeback.

the oil spill is a lead weight around his neck- do to being ignored for a month

The problems with the oil industry have been sleeping and waiting for many years. The oil company lobby has been in the pockets of our elected officials for many, many years.

Since when is our government in the oil business, or the oil spill clean up business?

Sure our government should hold BP accountable for any and all damages, but who has the resources to deal with this mess? BP. And there wouldn't be a mess like this if our politicians weren't so corrupt.

All of our politicians.

These problems have plagued our country for many, many years. The alternating succession of Republican and Democratic administrations all have had a hand in this mess, and not one has done anything to help fix it.

Racer summed it up pretty good.
Obama has sure been a sore disappointment, to say the least.
The same problems still exist and he's only made them worse.
For that, I put him in the same category as the last half a dozen or so bums.
I could probably give Gerry Ford a pass.
He didn't screw up much, if you don't count his wicked slice on the golf course, that is. LOL
I didn't like him pardoning Tricky Dick, but I understand why he did it.

I hope that in the next round, rather than an "awakening from the right" (those guys can stay sleeping as far as I'm concerned. Both extremes are out for themselves and no one else) I hope the true independents rise up and get us back on track.
The ironic part is when this next recession hits, Obama will take the fall for it.
And he should, for his part in adding to the debt.
But that's not the debt that's coming next. It'll be the first wave of the 30 year-old debt that was sold at record interest.
It's just the first wave, but it'll hit like a tsunami.
The first 2 trillion at about 15% compounded for 30 years.
And the worthless guys who ran up the U.S. Taxpayer Platinum card have left office and this dumb S.O.B is the one sitting at 1600 Penn. ave where the bills are coming due.

Remember 1992.
Bush and Clinton both stood there creating and signing NAFTA.
The guy in the middle (Perot) was the only one saying "You're making a big mistake."
Then he only gets 20% of the vote while the next morning people are saying, "I wish I'd have known he was going to do that well. I'd have voted for him."

What a bunch of idiots,.
This ain't a race track, folks. You don't "win" anything by picking the "winner."
This is your future.

looks like spending like a drunken sailor is still in vogue. At least in the states, this morning it was reported that England is cutting their spending 25% and Germany or France [i forget which] told Blobama to take a hike when he told them this was not the time to stop spending
as far as bush, Clinton and anyone else people try to blame, Bambi has been in charge for over a year and a half now, its his baby, don't forget that while bush was in charge of the the white house, it was Pelosi, reid and the dimocrats that were in charge of the house and senate for the past 3 and a half years.

BTW I agree with the Perot statement, and voted for him myself, supporting somone that tells it like it is just appeals to me.

True Obama has not made much progress, but you have to give credit to the partisan bickering since he took office. Nothing has polarized our political system more than the election of Barack Obama.

As far as Gerry Ford not screwing up so much goes, he really wasn't in office long enough to screw things up.

I see the problem with independents as none of them will get together, they each have their own agenda and have no desire to work collectively.

If you have links for this information, I'd appreciate them. If you don't, and are talking out your ass, I'll ask you to please stop.

For example, here is an article which involves him in the Blago scandal.

No, post a link once in a while. This is the politics forum. There's a post about this forum being a little more serious than the other forums.

I asked nicely that if you're going to post inflammatory stuff, you back it up with fact. I don't think that's an unrealistic request.

Im not saying I'm ignorant to the goings on. I'm saying that posting opinion and fact are two different things.

Thanks for the links.

One problem is, you won't here much of this from the national corporate media. But I've been hearing and reading some horrendous stuff for months from guys who live in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, etc. They'll usually post a local newspaper article or TV shot or in some cases saw it firsthand when they went over to check on a neighbor and found them bound and gagged on the floor.

Although a lawyer would disagree, for most of us, having proof of an event or lack of it, sometimes has little bearing on whether it actually happened.

My wife and I had a "little discussion" a few months ago that started with her saying, "You really don't like Mexicans, do you?"
I had been bitching about work.
"It depends." was my answer.
I then proceeded to tell her something she couldn't believe, and of course I had no physical proof.
I had told her that many illegals privately consider the southwest as "Mexico" and are simply trying to take their land back.
I know it's true (probably only discussed at the dinner table) and heard one guy, one time actually say it on a TV interview.
Other than that, it's always denied by those that are asked.
Those are the ones I have a problem with.
As the past months have had immigration protests, some here local, and she listened to the arrogant "entitled" attitudes, she now sees it.

Of course, I can't produce a shred of evidence, but I'll just sit back and watch the truth unfold....................

As far as Obama, the Gulf spill, the war plan(s), Iran, gov't incentives to hire people are all his baby now, no one else's.
But to think that the whole $13 trillion debt just popped up suddenly on Jan. 20th, 2009 is disingenuous.
ALL the Bozo's that occupied that seat and the halls of Congress, and I do mean ALL, have an equal share in that.
One of the biggest mistakes was NAFTA, and that started almost 20 years ago.

rebel, Mexicans are not the problem ILLEGAL immigrants are the problem, if someone came to this country legally the deserve the chance to succeed here, but if they are here illegally they need to be thrown out period.

And it isn't just mexicans, there are a lot of other foreigners here illegally the Mexicans just are the largest groups and the fact is our borders need to be secured from all that choose to sneak in.

i completely agree with you on NAFTA
