Indiana.

What is the most unremarkable state in your opinion and why?

For me it's Indiana. Like them or not, most other states have something that really stands out in everyone's mind. New York has...New York. Oregon has Portland and insanity. California has Los Angeles and Hollywood and rats with the bubonic plague, just to name a few examples. Iowa has corn and Slipknot. Kansas even had the Wizard of Oz. Florida has beaches and Disney and humidity that guarantees perpetual swamp ass.

Aside from a race or two, in modern times this state has exactly zero things interesting about it.

It might have been a little more exciting when America was new and Tecumseh Sherman fighting the natives off their land was the in thing, or maybe it was a little more fun in the Toledo War but right now I have no idea what is attractive about this state.

For example, there's a "Bob Ross Experience" in Muncie. There's no way that's fun for more than six minutes. The show Parks and Recreation made fun of Indiana so much that the most square, boring guy in the office really looked forward to his vacation to Muncie every year. I've met people like that.

Anyway. Explain why Indiana sucks so bad.

Why can't I add a poll?

West Virginia. It's ongoing construction and bad new roadwork in the way of where I'm goin'.
West Virginia is remarkable for several reasons.

It once was the subject of a John Denver song and is now one of if not the most obese state.

John Denver never wrote a single about obesity in Indiana.

The question is what is the least remarkable state.

The hills of southern Indiana along the Ohio are awesome.

I think North Dakota is far more unremarkable. The only interesting thing in the whole state is the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Or maybe Mississippi. It's great if you love orange mud and pine trees.

North Dakota is very unremarkable.

Still doesn't change the indisputable fact that 81 has been under construction for ages and the new part that's done sucks balls. It affects me deeply and hurts my soul.

Unremarkable is the operative word.

It doesn't mean good or bad.

It just means there's nothing interesting, nothing worth mentioning.

Take New Jersey for example. There is absolutely nothing good about New Jersey. It's a hell hole and nobody wants to be there. But just the fact that it sucks so bad is notable. So it's not unremarkable. There's something to complain about.

North Dakota is probably the best candidate for "unremarkable". Unless you want to bitch about how fucking brutal ass cold it gets in the winter. Then it's no longer "unremarkable". But other than the cold, there's really nothing else very interesting about the state.

Oh yeah well in that case there are no unremarkable states because they all suck.

Iowa

Hands down.

In Indiana you have the Dunes you have the speedways.

New Jersey you hav the Turnpike and the Boardwalk, along with Atlantic City.

North Dakota it shares a state with the Black hills.

Iowa, nothing comes to mind, save the Caucasus.

But Iowa use to have Primary's like the other states but because of low turnout and disinterest ( unremarkable) results, they went back to the Caucus. Lol

I would also agree with Iowa although they do have the Iowa 80 where you can spend your entire paycheck in a few hours.
I did get a nice pair of cowboy boots there.

Or Delaware. Not much going on in Delaware but they do have that Roy Rogers.
