The Island of Misfit Toys

Agreed. Toughest sunsabitches you'll meet out here. I have a lot of respect for them. They can't back for sh*t but they'll outwork any one of us.
I’m here to tell you that may be the case for some, but when you can put a 102” wide spread axle into a 106” wide three sided dock without hitting anything. Give me a call and we can have a rodeo.

Good golly Miss Molly. It's normal to see a lot of cops on the road in this state, hence the reputation Ohio has. I don't think I can ever remember a time where I've seen this many. Cover up all your cuts, folks. The sharks are in the water today in packs.

Well, if you get the chance, it’s a neat little dam to go see. If you’re doing a lot of trucking in Ohio, I’m sure you’ll be going by Delaware at some point
I completely misunderstood you, my bad. For some reason I thought you meant the state of Delaware. I drive by the city of Delaware quite frequently, never been to the lake though.

Welp, this is gonna be an interesting run. Grabbed a load going to Bama for delivery on Tuesday. It's making me a little nervous for two reasons. It's hazmat, for one, and I'm not a huge fan of those. Single commodity though, thank god. What makes me nervous is that even though there's only 1300 pounds of hazmat, they have it in the middle of the trailer and I can't get to it to secure it. It's wrapped very well, won't be an issue unless a cop happens to ask to break the seal and look inside. Nothing I can do about it either. I'll climb over stuff to secure a load, done it plenty of times. But I can't stand on anything that's in front of it without damaging freight. And my trailer is packed from nose to doors, no way I can get to it. Oh well. Second reason is I'm tail heavy. Only state I'm going through with a bridge law is Tennessee. My tandems are one hole too far back to be legal. It's so close I doubt they'd even notice, but you never know. So, another nervous run coming up. Awesome. At least there's no tolls, although I'll have ad valorem in TN and KY.

We’re still here. Just some on Sabbatical. Sittin at the Cefco in Tyler TX for the night. Thawed out a ribeye to grill. Life is good and all that ole shit. Git up at 0100, leave out at 0200, drive to daybreak and take a 20 minute power nap, rinse, repeat.

Love ya man. I hope all of you over there are doing well. Noticing any changes yet?

It's been a weird week. I've got friends who are understandably concerned, and who I'm concerned about because Millis just sold everyone out. Got a friend who left and went to my company and is quitting altogether. Got another guy, same scenario, who can't leave my company because of financial trappings. Christ. Starting to feel like an unlucky rabbit's foot.

Anyone else get house flies in the truck? Good gawd they are annoying. I keep forgetting to buy a fly swatter

Unless I can find a small bug zapper maybe.....

I get one occasionally here and there but i just use a hat to swat them when necessary. I must have a gap in weather striping. I get a spider from time to time also. They all suck but no different than a house.
