They already had my card information from us paying upfront. We paid for one CNC Lathe and they ended up loading more equipment: large conveyors and all types of pallets without contacting us. I got a call hours later from Stevens West saying they loaded more equipment than I paid for and wanted more than half of what we originally paid. I then started receiving calls from their receptionist non-stop. They then proceeded to charge our card without consent.

I am willing to bet they would have kept my machine if I disagreed with the charge while the truck was in motion.

Hopefully you have a good contract lawyer.So if they moved more than what was agreed to and charged you for it then that cost should be on them,Hopefully you re-coup you money. Best wishes.

So you are talking about a credit card account then, right? If so, contact your credit card company and place the charges in contest, then have your attorney contact them and attempt to resolve the issue.

It does suck when business associates do not behave well, and try underhanded business dealings.

Yes, it was our company credit card. The bank said there will be a 15 day wait before anything gets resolved and because they provided a "service" it will be much harder to recoup the funds.

So how come you don't pay for the shipping with a purchase order rather than a credit card?

I bet you won't be calling them to haul freight for you again, will you?

I would also think you need to sick your attorney after them.
