Far as I know this guy is a real minimalist.

Steel wheels. No fridge or anything in the truck. Paint optional.

Nothing bigger than a 10 speed.

Stuff like that.

He'd literally take A/C off a truck. Power steering made things too complicated so any truck he bought it had to he removed.

Late 90s was the last I saw one of his trucks on the road. Windows open doing about 55.

Park City Motorways was the name of the outfit.

I worked for a guy like that.
None of the trucks ever had an oil change done, ever.
Just keep adding oil as required.
The trucks were pretty much junk. It was a ragtag outfit that everyone knew the name of. Our reputation proceeded us but not in a good way.

Wouldn't be so bad if it didn't sound like it was coming from a wet speaker. The quality is absolute garbage for music, especially for a paid service. They can't get away with such low bitrates in 2021.

On that topic of sounding like shit while we unrail a string.
Since the Covid most T.V. and radio shows doing interviews by Skype or Zoom are fraking ear-piercing! Especially when a caller is using Blu-tooth the sound is horrible.

Don't even get me started on some MP3's compression that sounds like listening through a tin can via a string attached.

Well it is an overnite show so that says a lot about how much ratings it will garner. Not much.

Back in the day on XM they had a show where they had two strangers call in and try to have a conversation. It wasn't good.

I don't have XM. Actually I do, I got a free trial with the car I bought. I have never even turned the satellite radio function on. Not interested.
XM is like the D.J. 2000 from WKRP. The same songs played in the same rotation over and over.

My buddy pays for XM just so he can listen to Stern. Kind of a waste of money for a local driver if you ask me but hey, it ain't my money.

I had free Sattelites first year too and let it lapse.

Many years later I still get calls and junk mail offers to sign up and pay for it.

I can get almost anything they play over the air for free.
