never heard of that...but what i also found as i looked for the spinach pies that are available here, is an actual pie as well......

but we here grew up on the ones that i pictured.

some are larger, some are smaller.

we prefer the small to medium sized ones..

costs run about $1.50 to $2.00, depending on the bakery you buy from.

we heat ours up for a few seconds (in the nuclear reactor) or a few minutes in the oven.....damned good warmed up.....

but i've been known to eat them room temperature.

There used to be an Italian joint in the food court at the mall. No they did not deliver. But they had a pizza with Spinach on it. It was amazing!
So a spinach panzarotti would be awesome!

I realize the color and taste of spinach my be unappetizing to some, That only leaves more for me.

Spinach and asparagus omelettes are delicious, with some feta and banana peppers, and add some chorizo or sausage...

The brand California Pizza has a spinach pizza- I have to put spaghetti sauce on it but it's pretty dang good.

Could you do spaghetti on pizza? Sort of like spaghetti on toast but on a pizza crust

It would keep spaghetti out of the toaster that way

all bakeries use "canned cooked spinach"....there is no time for any bakery to buy the spinach, then cook it.

spinach when you cook it, shrinks so much, you'd have to buy 2 pounds of it, to make maybe 2 medium sized spinach pies.

same with any pizza place.. they buy "canned cooked spinach"..

when i buy fresh spinach, i have to buy enough so that 5 of us get about (on average) 4 tablespoons worth, with our meal...

that's nearly 4 pounds i have to buy.......and fresh spinach is like any other grocery store item.......meaning you have to wait for a sale, or pay a lot.

LOL- hadn't thought about it but I guess you could. I usually eat spaghetti with Ritz crackers though- I use spaghetti sauce on the spinach pizza because they don't put enough tomato sauce on the spinach one and I don't keep pizza sauce on hand like I do spaghetti sauce.
