So, I know why you don't like brokers, but...

They should, the driver is an ambassador for his company. I would fire any driver that caused needless complications with my customer.
Ya, for the pay and all the run around a driver gets, Being congenial is another unpaid duty. How many drivers do you have and how many have you fired?

What are you talking about? That is why half the time he does not roll. He can't get along with himself...
You know, I am understanding more everyday why so many disagree with me over such trivial things. Imagine, treating someone with respect, especially your customer. What a novel approach.

So quit your job and quit bitching! Good grief, is being civil going to kill you?
No need to quit my job. I have no reason to interact with a broker. If i wanted that I would be a carrier. i can be civil when others are civil with me. I don't treat those the way I would like to be treated. I treat those the way they treat me.

So, why the hatred and yes the irrational hatred, of brokers? If you don't deal with them, why are you all up in arms about how your and every other driver is treated? Don't you realize that broker is your carrier's customer? If your carrier looses enough customers because of rude drivers, you will have to find another job and start the process all over again.

No hatred toward brokers, I will not stand for a broker blowing up my personal Phone, Call the Company if the broker has issues. Chain of command, I am sure you know all about that.

Almost all carriers have qualcomm. Everyone thinks they r the drivers boss, shippers receivers, dispatch, mechanics, the guy who mops the bathroom floor. Half the idiots on the other end of Q/C will call the driver when the truck is not moving. They ever stop and think maybe he is sleeping? Cops, lot lizzards, professional bums, someone is always knocking and waking up a driver. If it has qualcomm they have a pretty good idea where the load is. Yeah, call the broker so he can get your number. That way that fool can take his turn in waking you up to.

And I know all about dealing with the man who has my load. When I call a shipper, I don't want to talk to some wonk in the shipping office, I want to talk to the forklift driver that is going to unload me. Grunt to grunt, not grunt to wonk to grunt. If this was a military operation, I might agree with you, but it is your carrier's customer. How did they get you phone number if you didn't give it to them?

I never had those problems because of Qualcomm or Driverstech. If I don't want someone to have my phone number I don't give it too them or I turn off caller ID.

A bad on my companies part for having me call the broker and they captured my phone number via caller I.D.
