Sleeper removal?

This is my first post on this forum board and this is the reason I joined. I have a 2003 FLD120 in my lot that was jack-knifed and the sleeper area of the truck is smashed in pretty good. I have posted this same question on a few forums boards to get a wide variety of responses. Is there a way that I could remove the crushed sleeper and just leave it as a day cab? The truck is going on 600k miles and I would like to keep it as a local hauler. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Supposedly there is a kit that is made to where you can remove integrated sleepers. I forgot the link but it was pretty dang neat.

Freightliner should be able to set you up with a metal fabrication kit to cover the opening once the sleeper is removed. People remove them all the time as long as there is no other damage

That was my first thought also... but freightliner quit offering their metal fab kit a few years back. They called it "daycab reconfiguration" or something like that.

Me not being the wisest on the computer, finally googled sleeper removal...i found Daycab Company... has anyone tried this?

Your other option would be either try the other dealers for a fabrication kit or a truck body shop should be able to fabricate it for you
