Screw Minnesota and their Beet Juice

The Marines aren't even their own branch. They're part of the Navy....

It’s because we don’t need all that support and admin nonsense. We just need a rifle, a ride, and another ride home when we’re done.

And then, when we leave you to protect what we took, we will eventually need a ride back to take it again once y’all somehow stumble and lose it. ;)

Funny. Ramadi and Fallujah were quite the opposite.

Here I'm going to set the record straight for those of you that claim Minnesota does NOT use sand on the interstate.

When I lived in Minnesota a few years ago, I worked for MNDOT, I DROVE a plow truck, and we DID use sand on the interstate, especially I-35. We used brine, salt, beets juice and plenty of sand. Who else hear ran a plow down around the Morris, MN district in beginning, then moved over closer to Owatonna, MN area. We always used lots of sand
I drove out of the Golden valley barn in the cities.

We did not even have a sandpile.

Everyone on the internet drives for or drove for MNDOT imagine that. It’s amazing.

The point of the original message was talking about pretreatment on the roads. Only person that said they NEVER use sand on the roads also said that I made that statement verbatim in my original post. I did NOT, I was talking about the pretreatment of the roads and how I feel that beet “juice” is shit compared to “Brine”.

I don’t think anyone has actually made the statement that they NEVER use sand on 35. And I’m pretty sure MNDRIVER said it’s based on the temp, and I trust that way more than I trust a lot of other things from a lot of other folks.

Here in Idaho they use salt brine in the southern end of the state and mag chloride more on the northern as I understand due to the proximity and price of available products. Then they use a sand/salt mixture on snow.

Nothing like the old days though.

All the plow drivers would get together in the fall and fill their trucks with sand, and whoever had the most left in the spring would win the pot!

Finally an authority on this.
