Yes, up to and including spares to carry for when THEIR radios take a dump.Having bold crisp radios to deal with pilot cars is kinda important, no?

This is the radio Ruthless bought, a cobra 29 with an AD203 stinger board doing almost 90 watts, a ranger echo board installed and a receive kit upgrade all done by my friend. He is using a cheap superstar mic to test out the quality.Yes, up to and including spares to carry for when THEIR radios take a dump.

I'm not suggesting you do likewise, just demonstrating my friends work. He's been doing it for 30 years and was my lieutenant. Listen at 124 for the transmit on air.
Switchblade is my amp builder about 30 miles from me on channel 6 (where the biggest radios compete) talking to BBI in idaho probably 2500 miles or better. My friend tunes his radios so you can hear the clarity there too. Switchblade runs tens of thousands of watts and can build you whatever you want.
At his power levels, it's probably milspec RG 213 or stronger and he runs a ground plane antenna. I don't remember exactly which brand. What’s he do for coax and antenna?
The Road King CB is a Waste of money! I bought their top of the line model and it didn't even last me 6 months before it crapped out. Then try and get a hold of them for warranty... yeah right! I recommend you get a President. Their CB's are really the only good ones for the money. Most CB's today are made by the same 4 companies. Uniden makes a lot of them for other brand names. If you want a Monster of a CB, go for the Stryker 955. I would go through BELL'S CB. They will tune it up for a small fee, as well. You could also have them boost it even more for more power! Though the cost will be considerably more.

A good basic am/fm radio:

One, Why?You bought many radios from this place?
I was asking to see what your experience was with the place. No need to get offended. One, Why?
If you don't like the place, shop elsewhere.
Is there no way to make it brighter? I know some of them with blue back lighting will blind you in the night.Kinds disappointed in my Uniden. Performance seems fine but the LCDs are too dim.

That was some pretty cool banter back and forth, The kind of stuff that would keep drivers awake driving down the road and making them laugh back in the day.Well, I've heard of people complaining about Bell's in the past. So, I figured you knew of this and were not happy with my recommendation. Anyway, This guy at the Fine Tuned CB Shop seems to know his stuff, as well.I was asking to see what your experience was with the place. No need to get offended.
Nah, I was actually going down the rabbit hole of CB radio research when you brought up this shop. Getting a new truck, and deciding whether I am going to get a new radio for it. I mean, I am going to get one, but not sure if I want to spend any money on it or not.Well, I've heard of people complaining about Bell's in the past. The 497 Stryker is a great basic radio that doesn't cost an arm and a leg for great receive and transmit power- Remember... Ya get what ya pay for! If you buy crap, it tends to not get used. Being a new Cascadia, if I go much more than a simply Cobra29, I'm likely to have to start off with a compeltely new coax and antenna. Not sure I want to get that deep into it. Really not sure what the antenna quality is on the new truck.
If it’s the same as what Walmart specs it will be junk with the antennae’s on the back of the bunk.A lot of us that still want to use a radio stop at a local guys c b shop and have them run a good coax and antenna outside in to the mirror arm.Being a new Cascadia, if I go much more than a simply Cobra29, I'm likely to have to start off with a compeltely new coax and antenna. Yep, that's why I am thinking most likely a simple Cobra29, tuned, and be done with it for now. I would want to run good wiring, coax, and antenna if I were to go to anything big. Don't see enough activity to warrant that. The entire system is not designed for performance. What with the duplexers and all they put into them with crap coax
yeah, thinking about doing that, or running it out to the back of the cab.If it’s the same as what Walmart specs it will be junk with the antennae’s on the back of the bunk.A lot of us that still want to use a radio stop at a local guys c b shop and have them run a good coax and antenna outside in to the mirror arm.
If you don’t spend the money for the new coax and antenna you might as we not spend the money on a new radio.Yep, that's why I am thinking most likely a simple Cobra29, tuned, and be done with it for now.
