Rants about newer vehicles

Makes my Camry look like a Geo Metro with all that techy stuff and bells and whistles.
well it is about the size of a camry :D. i was at a stop light this morning and a girl got out of her car and was standing on her seat taking pictures and she was in a lambo :stare1:. though i am sure that a windshield for your camry is prob cheaper than mt I8:stare1:. though i could get for a bugotti chiron those things are mind blowing:D:eek:. but the fucking maintance on them is horrible 30-40 k for the first 3 sets of tires and then it's 120k and then theres oil changes another 21k:stare1::D. but the car will have your nuts up in your throat:D:biglaugh: it's just insane:stirpot:. then theres insurance as you'll want it insured to the sky and back!!! but it's pure sex:drool:. but then again i don't buy exotic cars to go slow and sit in traffic jams;). Geese I wonder how long the tires would last on a bugotti going at those speeds not to mention doing some sick ass doughnuts:D:eek:

I should've known.

Was that color your 1st choice?

I think in about 30 years or so all new cars will be a hybrid or at least have that as an optional package.

In that same time-span I bet all older vehicles will be able to be retrofitted with a crudish type hybrid kit available at the big automakers parts department or maybe even Walmart for DIYers.

no black was my first color of choice but the dealer didn't have any in stock.. but i got a great deal on it since it was the wrong color and after two trades and the dealer discount for paying cash. i don't know if older vehicles will be able to be retro fitted can you imagine how much it would cost to do that. i think the german's have gotten hybrid tech right the first time since the I8 is a super car. though it is a two seater unless your under 3 feet tall then you can fit in the back:D. yea i do love it it gives me great fuel economy even when going 150 MPH:rolleyes: and i only have to fill it every 3 months if that;). it's fun throwing it sport mode and watching the dash turn to an orange red and hearing the gas engine kick in and the E-BOOST light to come on:eek: it is like a rocket ship:stare1:. my first choice was a mclaren P1 untill i researched and found out there was issues with the batteries:stare1:. though i have been boggling the idea of getting a bugatti chiron that car is just insane to drive now that's a fucking rocket ship that car will make you shit your pants:eek::D:rolllaugh3:. i have always loved obnoxious toys that are loud and sound like there just swallowing the fuel while there spitting out flames though:cool:. there kinda like sex i dunno but then again there's nothing like sitting in something that just vibrates the ground while idling:D:drool: or maybe i'm just going through my second child hood and i need new toys LOL:confused-96:

My dad said the world record for fuel economy is ten thousand MPG.

Some little stupid thing that barely moves, using a 3/4 hp diesel or something.

:coocoo:

"In 1978 students at Minneapolis, Minnesota's Hennepin Vocational Technical Center, converted a Volkswagen Beetle to a petro-hydraulic hybrid with off-the shelf components. A car rated at 32 mpg was returning 75 mpg with the 60 hp engine replaced by a 16 hp engine, and reached 70 mph.[20] In the 1990s, engineers at EPA’s National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory developed a petro-hydraulic powertrain for a typical American sedan car. The test car achieved over 80 mpg on combined EPA city/highway driving cycles. Acceleration was 0-60 mph in 8 seconds, using a 1.9 liter diesel engine. No lightweight materials were used. The EPA estimated that produced in high volumes the hydraulic components would add only $700 to the cost.[21]Under EPA testing, a hydraulic hybrid Ford Expedition returned 32 mpg (7.4 L/100 km) City, and 22 mpg (11 L/100 km) highway.[21][22] UPS currently has two trucks in service using this technology."

we've come along way since then though we have full sized cars getting 84 mpg even the mclaren p1 does about 40 mpg and that thing is a beast plus on that car you can even use the engine as a gender just to keep the car going and to charge the batteries then once the batteries are charged the engine shuts off for 5 mins lol

Almost all of these super car hybrids are based off of formula one cars as it was funny when I asked the Ferrari dealer if the la Ferrari had an all electric mode. There response was they have no interest in making shopping carts :D

Ahh I think thats called midlife crises. :D
but it's a fun mid life crisis :D. I've started investing in some new toys:cool:. yep spending 2.7 million on a hyper car that can devour a tank of fuel in 9 minutes at full throttle is a mid life crisis :D:stare1:
